thanks to you good people on this forum i polished and wax my car for the first time with great results :heelclick but......... my neighbour saw the job i did and ask me to polish & wax his car however he has a soft top which has a plastic rear window which is a very dirty, my local car place can not get hold of any type of soft top window cleaner unless i want to buy a grate load at a time, so would normal glass cleaner & polish work or is there any home made stuff i could use on it. thanks in advance.

I would use a mild swirl remover or light polish by hand and follow behind with a nice carnauba wax. It will work better than anything you can buy at a store. Be careful not to get any on the top or it will stain and be sure to use a microfiber towel so it will not scratch the window.

I used Meguiars Mirror Glaze clear plastic polish #10 and clear plastic cleaner #17 on the plastic covering my guages. I thought that it was ruined but these made it invisible to the eye after cleaning and polishing. I`ve also used these on headlight covers, tail lights, and my cell phone screen, all with good results.

I`m not sure how it would work on the soft top window but wouldn`t be very expensive to try. Goodluck!

I have 3m`s plastic cleaner and polish for that. Seems to work very well, cam in 8 or 10 bottles.
