Well I went to meet a prospective customer for a detail today and opened the hood and realized, I have never detailed it. I did it just to show him my CAI. I got home and sad fogetaboutit, I’m going to try. Was quite easy. I covered up what I could with tin foil, soaked with a citrus degreases, hosed out, reapplied the degreaser and scrubbed it down. Rinsed again and dressed with 303.

Only odd thing is that it is making an odd noise now but I’m guessing that it is just a belt slipping due to the dressing. If you haven’t tried it yet dont be afraid!! Give it a try!!

At work we just spray degreaser on them and pressurewash the crap out of them. We also have AC Delco shampoo in a can, but 1 can does like 1 engine so i don`t bother. As long as they aren`t dirty that`s fine for used cars.. I don`t care if they are shiney or not.
    job: Detailer @ GM dealership

machine: Porter Cable 7428 (DeWalt at work)

car: 1995 Grand Prix SE coupe... which I never have time to detail!

Thats exactly why I`ll never let someone else "detail" my car
