I do the interior first because it gives the customers car more time to air out from the carpet cleaning/vynal protectant.....

    Both!!!

    Two people detailing one auto

Both wash car & dry car

one polishes & waxs and the other vacs and steams.

Real time 2.5 hours, billing 5 to 6 hours.

    Fast and efficient detailing.

For my personal vehicle, it depends on the time of day. Since I don`t have a shady area to detail, I just try to start washing about 1.5-2hrs before the sun goes down. If I start 3 hours before dusk, then I`ll hit the interior first. If I start 2 hours before dusk, then I`ll hit the interior after.

LOL............ OK on a enthusiast level the answer would be whatever would need the most physical attention / effort. I believe exterior is absolutely more physically challenging unless it a van with kids and pets, etc. So exterior first?

yeah it just depends on what you are doing with the car in the first place....if you are shampooing the carpets and cleaning the leather/cloth seats, then I would do the inside first so that later, you can open the car doors and let it air out while you polish the back and hood and roof, then close the doors one by one as you need to hit the doors....

depends for me. If I`m shampooing the carpet, then the interior is 1st. If I`m just running over it with a vaccum, I wash the exterior 1st.

I only have to look after my own cars which I do minimum of once a week, therefore there is little effort in a quick going over each week, ie. dust over surfaces with MF or Chamois, vacuum. The door jams get done after the exterior wash dry of course.
