Hi I have a 2005 Mazda Tribute thats a dark teal metalic color. I noticed yesterday after washing and waxing my car, some minor scratches in the clear coat. I use a clean wash mit and coton towles to dry it. I`m new to this so any suggestions on how to get rid of the scratches and how to prevent them would be great.

    Thanks,

    mwe

First of all, get rid of those cotton towels and get a microfibre drying towel. What kind of wash mitt are you using?

Minor scratches can be easily removed with some rubbing compound, an easy one to get would be Meguiar`s Scratch-X. Just make sure you put a lot of elbow grease into it and work it in well.
