Anyone know how to get rid of shiny spots on a convertible top?

I`ve got a few small spots near the bend and fold areas where the fabric has developed some shine.

I plan to get some Raggtopp to protect it, anyone know if that will also cut the shine... (or at least shine up the rest up the top to match)

The shiny areas are usually do to wear and tear and usually can not be fixed without getting a new top.
