I`m new to using RMG and have some questions for those experienced with it.

The package claims that it removes defects. I presume this is through "cleaners" since it has no abrasives? Does it have the cleaning power of AIO? Or does it simply fill/hide defects such as swirrels?

I suppose I can apply by hand, DA, or rotary using finishing pad? Is it better if I work the product till it starts to dry?

The most difficult question to answer knowledgeably, is this: does RMG provide a good base for sealants to bond to? I`ll primarily be sealing with FMJ, AJ, KSG...

    Thanks

I work RMG for a few seconds and its easy to remove. It, IMO, has removed *very* minor swirls. I also use it under UPP and EX and it works fine.

I think a lot of the defect removal you get with RMG is due to pad choice since I don`t think RMG is particularly aggressive. I normally use it as a final glaze on black, red and other dark colored paint so I use the blue Propel finishing pad to apply. A few passes with the speed on 5 and RMG seems to nearly disappear into the paint.

RMG is a final glaze only for me, never seen it correct anything here... But I have not used it with anything else apart from a finishing pad. As Scott few passes with the PC and RMG seems to disappear into the paint, with nothing hardly to wipe of. I just work it till its almost gone, a quick wipe and move to the next section.

By hand before I got the PC its not as easy off as VM.

If I want to clean up paint first I use VM and polishing pad first.

^ i agree, I see it as more of a glaze but a very deep and wet loooking one which will bode well with AJ

I use a different method then most -- I use the Wipe On - Wipe Off without letting it haze. It`sthe same method that I use for Sourvian. I get Zero correction and use it mostly to fill small swirls between polishing and to add depth and wettness to the LSP.

I dont know about bonding issues with AJ and FMJ but you will have problems with KSG if you put a glaze underneith it. SG likes either and AIO`d surface or previous layers of SG to bond to. A glaze would cause problems.
