Does AIO need time to Cure?

I neverthought so, but lately people here have been suggesting that. What is the deal? I do not want to negate the effect of the AIO...

Direct from the AIO label:

Direction for use: Shake before use. Apply small amount of Klasse on clean and dry surface with damp cotton cloth. Use even, firm pressure. Wipe off. No drying time necessary.

Drying is different than curing.

Using AIO + a sealant/carnauba, I have never found it to hinder the durability, but rather help it. I don`t see a point in letting it cure, then applying an LSP 12-24hrs later. The only thing I could think would improve would be maximum durability, which most Autopians could care less about.

I believe Klasse would suggest a curing time for AIO if it was needed...Sayin SG (a sealant) is made to go uon top of AIO im sure there would be some kind of suggestion or mention of curing on either the AIO or SG bottle...

Oops! You`re right gbackus. My mistake.

I`ve never allowed AIO much of any curing time, and I`ve gotten several months out of my sealant on top of AIO. I don`t need it to last any longer than that, because I`d be going through some sort of detailing withdrawal way before that point.

I have never let AIO cure. I notice a dramatic increase in durability when I use AIO as opposed to VM under my sealants.

I used to use VM on almost every car lol, but I noticed durability was not what it should be. I would say almost any sealant I used was comparable to using NXT on the paint. I was only getting a few weeks. Of course I know scottwax and others will not agree with me on this, but it was just what I noticed. I can still get the great look with AIO without the oily base. When I switched back to AIO, durability was awesome with any combo I used. I want to try that Duragloss product and see how that compares. Seems rather cheap too.

Don`t get me wrong, VM looks great and is easy to use. I detail my cars quite often so durability isn`t always an issue, but sometimes I need a combo that will last more than a couple washes!

Somebody here who`s highly respected- no, I can`t remember who it was but I keep thinking Brad or David or somebody like that- opined that letting AIO "cure" would result in greater durability than we normally see from this product. The idea being that we seldom let it cure before putting something on top of it (that something being the LSP whose durability we usually care about).

Not sure it really matters unless you`re gonna use AIO untopped. But note that some people claim to get impressive durability from (untopped) AIO while other people get really lousy durability :nixweiss
