    my take:

since I don`t have any bottles of OCW to compare it to (although I do have some on order)

I can`t say its an OCW clone product (but that`s another thread)

instructions: simple enuff to interpret, spray on wipe off - like a "standard" qd

packaging: same bottle as well you know what, sprayhead OK

ease of use: spray on, wipe off - that easy, with no streaking

qd finish: cleans ok, very glossy, also fairly slick

fragrance: lil bit coconut, lil bit of aftershave - not my fav smell but not terrible

mfg claims: claims to be a spray wax/detailer, I`ll second that - claims to last longer that other qd`s not way to tell yet..update with pics to follow

    overall:

for 2.90 I`d take it over megs otc qd

    very easy to use

I`ve only used two spray waxes megs regular (ok) and megs NXT(shine good, ease of use BAD) - neither are extremely durable

if it will extend my megs #16 shine(because of carnuba?) I`ll use up my two bottles no prob (may pickup a third, for the price)

I agree, Prestone QS is actually pretty good stuff. Definitely not OCW but a great QD. More like PBs S&G if anything. I got mine for 50 cents more than you and its still a steal. I got mine at Walmart

battery about to die...in shade, washed earlier this week with pressure wash(no soap)

tried to get pic of "gloss" properties...no time..2nd "layer" of Prestone QS

    "reflectivity" of QS:

does not mute "flake" (terrible shot but limited time due battery dying):

After reading so much about this product, I decided to get some for myself. I found a local Pepboys that still had it on a shelf. No prices were marked, so I grabbed a bottle of the Quick Shine Detailer and brought it over to the cashier for a price check. It rang up as $2.60. Ok, I picked up a shopping basket and went back to grab more bottles. Then, I noticed bundles of the Prestone High Protection Wax with the Quick Shine shrinkwrapped together. Hmmm, I grabbed one of the bundles and brought it over to the cashier for another price check. She smiled and said, "$2.60, same price as the other one." Needless to say, I stocked up on these bundles.

I haven`t read too much about this wax, except for the two reviews in the "Review" section of Autopia, and will probably just give the stuff away to relatives/friends. The way I see it, I bought QD, and got the wax for free. I tried the QD this morning and it`s not bad at all. For the price I paid, it`s darn good value.

I used the High Protection wax before and I liked it. That QS/Wax is a great deal for $2.60, I would pick some up but I guess its a godsend I don`t have any PepBoys nearby. I`m trying to clear my stuff out, not buy anymore. :grinno:

I was perusing the car products in the ShopRite (local supermarket) and saw a bottle of this on the shelf in front of the Prestone Wheel Cleaner...I knew it was old bottle that somehow surfaced and likely on some sort of clearance...$1.49! Has to be worth a shot for that, so I snagged it.

I`ve got a bottle but never used it on my actual vehicle because I was turned off by the odor and consistency.

It looks nice and could work very well in the QEW bucket.

There was a thread about it`s similarities to OCW - bottom line was Prestone QS and OCW are not the same. The Prestone QS does make a nice QD, though.
