I saw this stuff in Pep Boys Auto Parts the other day. Anyone have any comments good or bad?

Over spray can be a problem in breezy conditions but it otherwise does a nice job on even the worse trim. I`m going to experiment with it in the near future and try applying it before a wash and see how well it holds up. If it does then that takes care of the over spray problem.

I saw this briefly demonstrated at a (local here in NJ) Meguiar`s Detail Day, and I don`t really get the concept (aerosol), although I think it was mentioned for spraying into dashboard vents, etc. The demo was on a Tahoe, with large expanses of textured black plastic on the exterior.

That`s what I am thinking it would be good for. Large peices of plastic cladding. How did it look on the trim, ok?

I should add that any over spray that I got on the "chrome" trim around the grills on my cars was easily wiped away.

I honestly don`t remember...it was on Rod Kraft`s vehicle...which is a Meguiar`s showcase truck...so it`s not like the trim needed detailing...and I was just kind of miffed as to why anyone would want the product, figuring it would be fairly expensive as an aerosol, overspray, etc. I think we questioned Rod, and he mentioned spraying inside the A/C vents.

I love aersol tire dressings, so I don`t know why the trim concept offends me, lol! IIRC, it`s not milky like the tire dressings, very thin and clear as it goes on.

I like it for exterior vents and lower skirts......overspray easil wipes away, although its still unpleasant on a newly detailed surface. I guess I could use it before i polished??!!

I used it once, but I found it messier than just a traditional liquid. I sprayed it onto a MF applicator away from the car, so I wouldn`t get overspray problems. It went on easily with the MF app, and the trim did look nice. I just prefer the liquids, due mostly to not worrying about overspray and aerosols. PB`s Trim Restorer is still my favorite exterior trim product.
