I have 2 Poorboys Lifetime Applicators here that I have not used yet. I am just wondering if anyone uses them, and if they are safe for paint...they feel quite firm compared to my other applicators.

Are they better for polishes or LSP?

I just want to get insight before I use them on my paint.

    Thanks.

When you say they feel quite firm, have they dried out? These sponges are hydrophilic, and will turn into little hockey pucks if they dry out. Soak them in warm water for a few minutes and they should come back to a foam rubber consistency. That being said, I used one of mine to apply EX-P, as this was the recommended method....and I found it very difficult to get a thin layer, plus I couldn`t get the suds out of the applicator after I washed it. Years ago they used to sell these as "chamois sponges" to be used for drying cars, you would soak up the water and wring them out.
