I had a feeling I was right
I would like to see the Zaino pics in the same light as the Souveran ones though. You can`t mistake that Souveran shimmer! It looks like a pool of black paint.

the lighting differences makes it hard to tell the difference- reflection shots should be slightly different with the carnauba being a bit softer
Lighting makes it tough, but I was able to guess it.
Car looks great ! :2thumbs:
You GN guyz use to roast me and my `82 280ZXT.....I miss turbo :sadpace:
You got me with the lighting. I would like to see two pictures with comparable lighting though. I guessed the first one as Souveran because it had great depth of color.(probably because of the lack of light, and something Zaino is generally not known for) whereas the second one was highly reflective and very little depth of color(probably because it is in strong light).
Or maybe there are just so many preconceived notions about the two products, some fooled themselves.
IMO the different lighting makes the exercise pointless. Even side by side in person right next to the car the differences are hard to parse, especially when you`re looking for them. They`re actually easier to spot when you`re looking indirectly.
Ask anyone who`s tried to compare the sound of a tube amp to that of a solid state amp in an A/B comparison; it`s hard to do. But if you sit and listen to the music instead of the sound, and relax and stop trying, it`s easy.
And before anyone asks, I love BOTH products. Each has its place.

chalk and cheese, whats the point? They are two products designed for two different uses, I don`t get why you would want to compare ?

No one is saying anything bad about either product; just having some fun.

But i do get a kick out of some people`s, as Zane put it "preconceved notions".
To mix things up (and because I can`t see any difference):
1- Z
2- S
3- S
4- Z

I agree with Scottwax that the lighting is difficult to base a decision on. It seems you have the best sealant and the best carnauba in any event. I like the wetness of Souveran.
I`ve always felt that determining `depth` requires 3D optics (the human eye).
Photography, no matter how good, is always going to be 2D.
I discovered that, when photographing my jobs and seeing that what I see wasn`t apparent in the photo.
That`s why I stopped, long ago, determining how a LSP looks by looking at Autopia photos. That`s not a criticism of Autopians and our practices, but simply a limitation of the medium.
I still enjoy looking at pics, but don`t draw any conclusions from them except, "that looks great".
This is true. There are some things that just don`t come out in pictures. As amazing as most of the pics are here, I`m sure I`d pass out if I saw them in person. :faint:
