Just got some Compound Moose and Blue Moose Cutting Cream. Can someone give examples of comparable (more familiar) products to these so we can get a better idea of their use? Also, where do they fit into the detailing regimen? Will they work well w/a PC or are they more suited for a rotary?

Compound Moose would be like SSR2.5-SSR3 or Meguiars DACP (maybe stronger) and Blue Moose would be like Meguiars Diamond cut compound (very aggressive).

CC has some diminishing abrasives and BM (how`s that for an abbreviation?) is a chemical cleaner.

CC is probably at the level of SSR3 and is more aggressive than DACP. It is PC friendly but make sure you follow the directions where it says to use half of what you normally use or you will get residue hazing. Use the right amount and it clears out and nearly disappears.

BM eats oxidation, it is a great product to start with on faded paint. It also will remove those black marks you get on the pipes on bikes.

Both products will remove overspray with a PC and a cutting pad. I used CC to remove some particularly heavy clear coat overspray on a pickup that clay barely making a dent in.
