to my knowledge I`ve always heard #80 contains oils that will effect bonding, so it would probably effect durability.
I always follow up #80 with AIO to be safer.
I just did that combo with no issues. Either wash car after or spray down with Z6.
VM + EX-P on silver is a popular combo

Meg #80 followed by AIO or Z6 wipe down will work.
A wash following this procedure is of course the best. Use Dawn or Z7 followed by a Z6 wipe down. This will definitely remove the small amount of oils deposited during the #80 polishing session. Do the wash and Z6 and you will achieve normal durability longevity.
Isn`t the purpose of 80 the oils though? I think you would be better suited using something like menzerna that is water based, or I believe any of the sonus polishes.
Meg #80 does have some paint cleansing properties via mild abrasives. Yes, Menzerna IP or FP would work with less after-polishing necessary prep as outlined above.
If you did most of the work with #80 and finished up with Menzerna FP do you think that would be good enough to go right to Z2? Would FP clean upthe oils? I like the FP for the burnishing.

i would think a wipedown with a 50/50 mix would be the best way to insure correct bonding
