Eeeeeeeexcellent! Great idea!! I might have to try that with Blitz Wax and S100! Nice job.:up

I relocated this thread to the Detailing Product Discussion forum

Interesting idea... !!!!!! Next we`ll start mixing QD`s

(thinking of which carnauba`s to mix)
This thread is hilarious.

Wow, what a cool thread! An awesome idea. Who`d have thunk, mixing carnauba waxes on the stove?! I`m definately gonna have to try this at some point. I`m anxious to see pics of the results, especially side-by-side comparison pics
5-Star Thread in my opinion

For what you`re intending to make I`d use a different "glaze". The #80 is less of a glaze and more of an abrasive polish. The mix you`re considering would make a cleaner wax, and a fairly abrasive one at that (which might not be a bad thing either).
To be honest, don`t waste a whole tin of your favorite waxes, simply try a little at a time. That way, if you don`t like the results, you`ll still have some of the original to use....Like eshine stated earlier, if your not 150% comfortable doing this, don`t! I don`t recommend doing this, unless you take the necessary safety precautions, and understand that there may be potential risks involved! Be safe, and Use Extreme Caution!
JUST FOR FUN: :bounce
As I have posted at the beginning of this thread, I wanna try #80 speed glaze with some carnauba and synthetic polymers.
The Product = Lab Sample GlazeXT (ala NXT sample before)
The Formula = 2 spoonful of #80 + 1 spoonful of NXT + 1 spoonful of #26
The Smell = NXT`s smell is retained
The color = creamy white yellow brown (is there such?)
Appearance (of the liquid) = shiny, reflects light like solid (HEHEHE)
Used a plastic cup and a chopstick to mix the product. Applied some product on the spare tire cover of the CR-V (body color, with CC) It`s night time here, but improves the reflection. (can`t wait for the sunrise to see!!!)
The rationale:
Put some polymer glaze on NXT plus some nice carnauba darkening effect. A polish which has the consistency of a polymer sealant with some carnauba effect...(did I understand what I`m saying???)
Post the pics if results were outstanding! else......forget it....
I don`t go by REFLECTIONS, but the WET-LOOK factor. If reflections coincided with my end-result, it`s merely INCIDENTAL... - JMGarcia
Hmm, seems to be a lot of bored Autopians. Cool idea though.
For safety`s sake I suggest using a double pan method as bence suggested.
Get two pots, the smaller one should fit in the larger one. Put water in the larger pot & bring it to a boil. Put the carnauba products in the smaller pot & put the small pot in the larger pot with the boiling water, keep applying heat to the larger pot so the water stays boiling.
Same result & safer `cause you`re not applying direct heat to the pot with the carnauba but the boiling 212* water will do the trick.
Now someone`s got to come up with a recipe for "carnauba helper".

That does seem to be the case.
I would suggest melting some S100 since it`s very easy to use and throw in some pure carnauba wax found here:

If the link doesn`t work then just go to www.alfa.com and do a product search for carnauba.
Carnauba melts at about 182 Degrees so a double boiler would work and wouldn`t burn the wax. I would suggest mixing one part pure carnauba and two parts S100 and you will be sure to have a very high % carnauba and possibly something similar to the $400 zymol waxes.
