Can you Layer NXT like you can other waxes?

Since it contains some very very light abrasives, is it bad to use monthly?

Would it be good to layer something else on top of NXT like S100 or Klasse SG?

Does no good to have more than 2 coats or so.

SG won`t help and probably won`t bond. Carnaubas are fine to layer.

I didn`t plan to go over 2 or 3 anyway....nothing like some people layer zaino 12 freaking times.

Yeah and there`s nothing wrong with layering a product that many times or more a year. Some of us drive there cars and have to leave them outside 24/7.I would be surprised if there were really that much of the product left on a car that`s being washed and exposed to the elements.

Layering isn`t necessarily a bad thing. 12 layers in one year added at 1 month intervals is pretty reasonable. Many of us require fresh ongoing protection for our vehicles.

12 layers in one week, IMHO, is not necessary. But if you are OCD (as many of us are, including me), then it`s just something to do.

As stated, a couple coats for eveness will suffice, not designed as a layerable product. Many folks will apply a carnauba as a additional topcoat...12 succesive layers of anything, as Bill says, a little too much....

    Guys,

I did 12 layers of Zaino in 3 weeks.

Very satisfying gloss and relfectiveness. My neighbour thinks I`m crazy. Maybe I am.

Zaino is really addictive. You see the results and you just want more.

Anyway, I agree that it`s pointless to layer NXT because it contains cleaners. I have seen NXT x 1 and topped with Megs No26 carnauba. As I`ve said in another thread elsewhere, this combo`s gloss, depth and richness is identical to another 1/2 of the hood done with Zymol`s HD Cleanse + Vintage wax!!!!!

2 coats (notice I said coats and not layers) is sufficient. Heck, one coat of NXT looks pretty good to me.

It really does no good to have more than 3-6 coats of ANY product on your car. Anything after that is just in your head or you do it for fun.

I`ve seen the OCD acronym quite a few times now.....and still haven`t figured out what it means!

Could somebody please define it for me?--thanks!
