I did a search but did not find the answer..... I picked up a bottle of #81 hand polish and i`m looking for the best application method when using a Gem Orbital. I usually work a polish into the paint by spreading out the polish using a cotton bonnet on the Gem. Once the product dries, I remove it with MF bonnet. This method does not seem to work that well with 81 because the product dried too quickly or perhaps I used the wrong amount of product.

    What do you guys suggest?

    Hi luv2buff,

Hand Polish is a hand applied polish. (Probably the smartest thing I`ve posted this year). I`ve applied the #81 Hand Polish using the Porter Cable with real good luck, but never with a traditional orbital polisher. I could be a host of different variables causing the problem.

Perhaps you buffing the product to long?

Thanks Mike. I`m assuming with the PC that you are working the polish into the paint until the product dissappears. But by hand then, do you apply the polish to the paint and then wait for it to dry and then buff off? I suppose I can figure this product out when I have a little more time on the next car.
