#16 is "wetter" and #26 is "deeper". I love #26 on my black T/A, and on my brother`s red firebird it gave it what I can only describe as a "deep" red glow to 12 year old paint.

#16 is more durable as well.

#16 doesn`t darken the finish as much as #26 either. But the beading of #16 is pretty incredible (best thing this side of Collinite).

Yup #26 darkens and warms the paint, #16 is more clear and durable. Also #16 seems to have less dust attraction.

Nope, #80 and FD are the best products Meg`s offers.

#16 is a very good wax though

I`d say #80 and #16 are number one with Meguiars, followed closely by their Soft Buff Pads and NXT Tech Wax.

I would not compare #80 and FD to #16 (first of all you cant compare FD to #16)two different items.SECOND how long is #16 around? even in bad sales MEGS kept it around,in my opinion it just says they believe in it.

#16 is just awesome, old school wax. I can imagine popularity ebbs and wanes through the different phases of car protection (cleaner waxes, polymers, easy-to-apply solvents, etc.) but I think there is a group of people that will continue to return to a good wax. My dad initially asked why I didn`t just get a one-step liquid wax. Easy to use and be done with it. Then he saw the results and asked if he could use my stuff.

Just curious, the #26 vs #16, Guru reports actually gave #26 a "slightly" better durabilty rating. I know this is just their test and everyone results may vary, but I was wondering if anyone had any comments if somone has used both #16 and #26 and could give thoughts as far durability? It seems like everyone here got better durability with #16.

I`ve used both and #16 is more durable in the real world, at least in my experience. #16 stay slick longer too.
