I had a jar of S100 sitting in my fridge for several months and just got it out last week. I`ve been using this for years but I always remember it being a white color. This jar has a distinctive yellow color to it. Has the formula changed? Did the months in the fridge affect the color? It still works like it always has but I was curious if others have noticed the change in color.

    Mike,

I strongly feel that S100`s formulation has changed.

Previously, I used to get impressive results with it and I was very familiar with its characteristics. It has always looked bit yellowish.

Now, I no longer get that deep, rich gloss anymore.

When I use S100 in the same way, I don`t get those same results anymore. Also, the retail price has dropped by 1/2 !!!!!! Something smells fishy here. That`s why I have stopped using S100.

When did you purchase it? I bought mine a little over a year ago and paid $16.00 for it. Are you saying it`s about $8.00 now?:nixweiss

I have gotten into this discussion (war?) in another forum so I guess I`ll join the fray here.

A number of S100 diehards swear that S100 and P21s are the same product only marketed, packaged and priced differently. The problem with this is that S100 has a yellow color and P21S has an off-white appearance. I do not know personally, but I`ve been told that in the past you could not see a difference between the products. Since the colors are different, there must be some difference in the products.

Regardless, S100 users typically love their product and even if they acknowledge a difference do not believe that the extra cost for P21S is worth it.

As it has been said here many times, If you like what you are using ... stick with it

I got mine a few weeks ago, and it is yellowish. I don`t think putting it in the fridge did anything to it.

Glad to know everyone else`s is yellow also. However, as I noted above, when I started using this, it was white, just like P21S. I`ll bet it is the same product other than the dye they use to distinguish the two product.

My first jar of P21S was white. My second jar of P21S was yellow. The yellow jar was harder to remove from the paint but I could not tell a difference in the results.

Funny....I just got a fresh jar from the local Harley dealer and it is a very white, almost partially clear, color.

Makes me wonder how long that jar has been on the shelf.

Hmmmm, maybe it has been on the shelf. They told me they had just put out a shipment and the packaging was pristine.

Was there any resolution on the composition of S100 vs P21S issue. I assume they are exactly the same....???
