At first I went "oh no, not another test..."

And then I started reading--it`s pretty good! Thanks!

Edit: I`m going to have to try out this new Turtle Wax.

Edit edit: Blackfire beads better then any of those after 2 weeks/2 washes.

Very interesting, thanks for the link.

I find their averge/overall score totally useless but I`m glad all the numbers and (seemingly) unbiased observations were provided so I can draw my own conclusion.

Because of Autopia I`m no longer considering those off-the-shelf products and this test gives me a hint that I`ve narrowed down my choices wisely.

I was willing to give Wolfgang a try but now I`m somewhat hesitant. I got a different impression about this set of products, especially when it comes to durability. We`ll see.

As usual, Zaino really shines (no, I`m not a Zealot, but I am a user)

I like the review except for one thing...

How in the world can the Zaino packaging get a "10"???? My goodness, Z bottles and labels are the cheapest and most boring packaging package in my shelf.... a 10????

I like round bottles. :nixweiss I like the ones Poorboys uses for EX-P. I was sad when my VM came in a ovalish bottle.

kartoon-I have no idea why Wolfgang stopped beading after a week in Steve`s tests but I`ve had it on a customer`s LS430 since early March and it was beading very nicely about 10 days ago when I went out to wash it....and I know because it started raining while I was cleaning their cars.

The paint still has noticable slickness too.

He just likes Zaino. I mean, all those wax only has 1 - 2 points in slickness and beading after 2 weeks except for Zaino and Glanz?? How can I believe him??

Steve`s tests are pretty fair, considering that he applies the waxes/sealants to different sections of the same panel.

I`ve been using Zaino for over a year, on three different vehicles, in two households - two cars here, one at my parents (where that was is abused....err, I mean washed, by my water conserving parents - hose down the car, wash it with what ever the cheapest car wash shampoo they can buy, and rinse it off quickly, because Lord knows, we don`t want the water bill to go up too much!! A-G-G-G-H-H-H!!!).

In every case, Zaino has kept beading at least six months. On my 1996 Taurus daily driver, I just finished rewaxing it for the first time since last October - it was still beading nicely when it rained last week. That nine months, as an industrial sales reps daily driver, driven in & out of factory locations, with plenty of industrial fallout, through an entire Detroit winter, featuring our world famous amounts of road salt, with the entire winter being cleaned by commercial "touch-less" car washes, plus our orange barrel season (massive amounts of road construction that started in April), and the Zaino held up and kept beading. Period

Closest I ever got to that kind of durability was from Meguiar`s No. 20 Polymer Sealant.

I can`t speak for the other waxes he`s tested, but I have not, aside from Zaino, Klasse, and Meguiar`s No. 20, found anything else with that kind of durability.

Steve`s integrity in these matters for me is unquestioned.

I may dispute his methodology, and I may have different criteria I use to assess the value of the results, but Steve would never intentionally rig a test to get the results he was looking for. If Zaino came in last, and eventually it will, Steve will report that Zaino came in last.
