I ask this because I used it the other day by pc and a cutting pad, like the web site says to work it till dry and then wipe off. Well it did wonders for the swirl marks but it left a LOT of hazing behide. I had to use IP and FP to bring back the gloss.

Just wondering if anyone else has used this and got less hazing on the paint??

    Thanks,

    Chad.

Do you know what 3m and Meguiars compound( PI III RC, Diamond Cut perhaps?) this equates to or is the TOL product in a class of its own?
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.

NozeBleedSpeed, thanks for the info, i will try that next time.

i`ll tell you one thing though, it may have been more work to bring it back but it is so nice now. took all the swirls and light scratches out 100% (or real close to) with very, very little dusting...I really like this stuff.

If this is the Hi-Temp stuff, pink in color.....then your greatest results will come with a rotary and a polishing pad. The rotary, with its combined heat and friction, allow the products cleaners to properly level paint and then polish the paint. If you are only using a PC then, as already noted, go to a softer pad, like LC`s black finishing pad.

If you are using a cutting pad with the MC and a PC then long after the MC has done its work you are still abrading the finish with the cutting pad, in other words nothing between the paint and the pad to lubricate it.

Ive used this stuff to remove some scuffs from my wife`s car. It works well for that. She had some nasty scratches that nothing I had would touch and this stuff got them out with a little elbow grease (And the PC of course). I followed up with Tropicare Swirl Cutter to dehaze it and then polished the end result.

I still use this stuff from time to time. I think its a pretty good investment to have a bottle sitting around when you need it.

    Anthony, thanks for the info...

the bottle says Power Prep on it, it`s a black label and it`s tan in color.

    Chad,

Yeah I have a bottle of that but honestly I have never used it. If I am correct I believe the TOL medium cut is more aggressive than the Hi-Temp Medium Cut.

You will most likely need to use a milder polish after the TOL stuff as it will most likely haze the finish.
