Since a couple people here on autopia use this product on a dry vehicle, I called eagle one back and asked the same question about whether it would be ok to use on a dry surface. This time the person I talked to said it should be fine. I always hate when I call a company up and ask a question to someone, then someone else will give me a different answer from the first person. (I posted earlier that I called eagle one and they said to use it on a wet vehicle, not dry)

Well, I used it the other day on my black silverado as a qd. the surface was dry. I must admit that I did notice a difference. I didn`t hear or notice any squeaking sounds. I think I might do this more often.

I also wanted to ask people`s opinons on this product if this is used on top a carnuba surface. Wax as u dry contains polymers and I would like to know if I would be wasting my time/product or if I should use something else like poorboy`s qd+ which contains carnuba so it would match the carnuba topper I have?

I also would be curious on the durability of this product. Would this product wear off after one wash?

I have not used WAUD to top carnuba, but I have used it over Zaino on a dry, black car.

I am completely sold. I cut it slightly with distilled water (about 3 parts WAUD to 1 part water)...

It is every bit as good as a good QD, and I get the feeling it`s leaving a protective layer, simply by its feel and slickness.

Absolutely no streaking, even on black or on dark tinted glass.

(Now in order to layer more Zaino, I`ll need to Dawn wash to get the WAUD off, but that`s not a problem.......)

so are you saying that on zaino`d cars (if you dont wanna put another layer of polish) you will wash with z7 and use WAUD instead of z6?

it leaves a slicker surface than the z6?....it cant smell better though

    That`s what I`m saying.

Yes. Slicker than Z6. It also seems to last longer than Z6. Z6, though, is the KING of fine automotive aromas!

BUT.....I haven`t tryed to apply Z2 or Z5 over WAUD.....I suspect that it would need to come off for proper bonding.

    Hello

I got two 32-oz bottles at Cosco recently for ~ $7.

    Pretty cool...

Yes, I have used it (wet) on my pearl white car that has z2 underneath. I was very surprised at how good it looks.

(it looks as good as the original fresh z2 coat that i put on

a while back). I was amazed at how slick it is.

I don`t feel it is as slick as z6. I much prefer the smell

of WAUD to z6 (to me z6 smells like strong chemical).

I have also used it on my grey metallic car that has

S100 underneath. The car was quite clean - so i just

hose it down and dry it with WAUD. For this car, I don`t

see any difference between before and after. However,

I notice that it attracts less dust now. (perhaps

it is some kind of placebo effect on my part).

I must say that it takes me a while to get used to the hose

again. I have been cleaning my cars with buckets these days.

I very much like the idea of diluting WAUD with water and use

    it as QD.:up

I used it on a black Audi, that had previously been treated with 1Z MP, then topped on the hood with S100 and the trunk with #26, I also believe there was some Poorboys EX in there.

Anyways, I washed with QEW. Previously, I had some issues with QEW, and not getting everything dried properly, in a few areas. Anyways, I used WAUD on it this time, before drying, and it is like, WOW. Works great and the car is shinier and looking better than any other time I`ve washed it, even if I used QD.

This stuff is great. Mind you, this was a Black car that I washed in the sun. No streaks, no drips, nothing. Just pure shine.

I tried it for the first time last week, after the good reviews here. I can say that on my red Lightning, over a carnuba, it did make a noticeable difference. no streaks, or smears and the shine and slickness are great. I was very scheptical, but Im a believer now and so is my buddy who was there when i washed the truck!

i dont know if this is a dumb question

but if you spray it on when the car is wet do you have to buff it out like you would when the car is dry?

im tryin to figure out if i can use the water blade on the car...or would that make the WAUD totally pointless

Unfortunately, I don`t think this will work with the waterblade.

I have to resort back to the 100% cotton terry towel (4 towels!)

(that is why I am so interested in trying out the diluted approach

    on a dry car.)

This morning, I used WAUD on my car that has been sitting out

in the dew (I know, cringe, cringe...). It actully works quite well.

So next time, I think I am going to mist my car with a mister then

put WAUD on it. This should only take one towel to dry the whole

    car.

Costco in the states has a two bottle deal as noted above. I bought a gallo of it for $25. at last years Street Rod Nats from an Eagle one distributor. Haven`t seen gallons anyplace else.

If you have an AutoZone nearby it`s free. They have a $5 rebate on both WAUD and A2Z wheel cleaner. They were $4.99 each and you get $5 back on each one. Now I just have to actually send in the rebate form this time... I`m stocking up for friends & family too, since you can only send 1 per address.

Weenie, ive been messing with ratios for about a week or so now. I started with 1:1...little easier to use, but not at my comfort zone....

2:1, better, but still streaked on windows, left a haze, but paint looked good....(Im getting closer to that elusive Quickshine look)

3:1, a little too thin, runs a tad, evaporates a little too quick too...Leaves a great shine, and i dont have to go back and rewipe with a dry side, streaks if any evaporate nicely..

The perfect ratio may be at 2.5:1....

Im mixing with regular tap water too.....

    Hey thanks.

I will do the dilution this weekend and try it out.

(I think I will use the tap water too)
