I have both the old Z5 and the new Z5, I`ll try both of them.

I`ll test on the carbon fiber hood with horrendous buffer swirl tomorrow.

    No, not even.

I know just for fun the chemists tried some out on a variety of automotive paints given what it does for the mold surface, but one of them told me it bonds well, but doesn`t look good.

1 out of 2 isn`t bad, but it isn`t good enough.

Mike, I can send you a Platinum sample if you`d like if you want to PM me your address. I can`t imagine you need a whole bottle for spot testing. I can`t ship it out till Saturday though.

Thank you for the kind offer, I think I`ll go ahead and order some because it`s been on my 2-do list for some time now.

    Thank you though.

    Mike,

Thanks for keeping us all in the loop!

I do hope it will be avalible for the Pro/Detail line in gallons or a slightly different strength.

Gezzz, I` still dying!!! You got to find a way to get some out to us!

Come on, go back to the "Lab of Shinology" and procure some in small 2oz bottles for "field testing" via Autopia and Showcar members. I`ll pay.. I`ll pay!!!

Love to see the carbon fiber results!

Well, back to my mundane job.. Port wrapped on a switch on one site!

    Keep us updated!

Dang it Mike, I`m in Mountain Top PA. That`s pretty close to Irvine. If I decide to stop in, I`ll give you a ring first, though.

    Tom,

Who is tempted to go to Irvine....

    Mike,

Is this the "VIBRANT" test product? Interesting back panel :p

    Deanski,

No, as mention here and on ShowCarGarage, this is definitely not Vibrant, this is new polymer chemistry, with emphasis on new.

In the below picture, you will see the deck lid of a Honda Acura Legend.

I have washed with Dawn twice, (thorougly), then wiped down with Isopropyl Alcohol and water mixed at 50/50.

For the Zaino section, I applied Z1, let dry for 30 minutes, then applied new Z5 over it without first removing it.

Should I instead apply Z2 over the Z1? and then apply Z5 to the same section after removing the Z2?

Temperatures are warm and dry. All product I am testing are drying rather quickly so I don`t think I`ll have any time issues today.

Let me know, I have Z1 on the Zaino section right now.

    Mike,

I`m very interested to see the comparisons when this is all done. Will that information be available to post here when complete? I`m a Klasse twins guy myself, but if I find something better then I`m all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake!

Mike, I am not Deanski but here is your answer.

Z2 is not necessary if you are testing spiderweb filling and durability aspects of Zaino. Z2 can be applied at the end if you want to maximize the Zaino side`s appearance ( the normal application procedure for a Zaino user). This would lead to a fairer final appearance comparison between LS D/E and Zaino without affecting the other two perimeters that you are analysizing.
