Want to try MPPP, pointers, advice, to do`s and not to do`s ???

Hey ppl. I want to try out Meguiars Premuim Paint Protection. I know there`s not alot of talk here about it and wanted to try it out for myself and post a review about the product. My Ranger needs a detail all over so might as well go for it. My Ranger sits outside 24/7/365 and thought maybe a good quality one step cleaner wax would suffice to help keep oxidation down and the finish top notch. I am aware MPPP has some cleaning abilty, abraisvewise and the cleaning power is extremely fine, almost none but there is some there, according to a buddy of mine who uses and adores it. I plan to of course wash, clay, and go to the waxing. i don`t have any SMR`s or Cleaner Polishes to aid me in paint prep so I`ll just have to live with it. I plan to apply MPPP with my hands, of course I don`t have a PC so, with my basic detailing techniques I should still be able to post a worthy review ,,,,,,,91

MPPP was my wax of choice for many years, actually since it first hit the market.

1. It doesn`t do a lot of cleaning, but it sounds like you may have at least a fairly clean surface after you clay. The MPPP will probably do fine.

2. Follow the instructions.

3. Put it on thin.

4. Thinner yet.

5. Buff it off with a microfiber towel if you have any. 100% cotton will work, too.

5. It will look great.

6. It may not last a long time, but just use it every month.

7. It is a lot better product than it gets credit for here.

I used to top it with 3M Show Car Paste Wax for an even better look.

Like CharlesW, I also used MPPP for many years. The product is a very easy to use one-step product that can be applied by hand (no PC needed). As long as the finish is not badly neglected to start with, MPPP should give you good results. Just be careful around any black trim. MPPP can leave a nasty white residue.
