    Looking perfect, Jason.

    I have a question though.

You said, you couldn`t get rid of the swirls with the PC. Do I get it right ; there are swirls which one can`t eliminate with a PC ?

I`m about to get a random orbital and trying to understand what a PC can do and can`t.

    Thanks for the pictures.

The PC can only do so much. It can take a good finish and make it an excellent one with practice.

I believe a rotary was used on this BMW. I heard a dealer applied wax by machine. On the front door panel in the correct angle in direct sunlight there are tell tale signs of rotary usage by an inexperienced person, or someone in a rush.

A PC can not remove these, only a rotary can. I`ll get pictures next time I stop by (maybe Thursday, could be next summer, this guy is hard to find and off on business 1/2 of the time I hear from him.)

Plus the countless brush washes this car has been through in its 6 year life span.

Thanks everyone for the comments, yep Brad, wheels were a PIA, took me about 5-8 minutes per wheel and 12 ounces of Ef Hi full strength with a soft wheel brush, a spoke brush, a terry cloth piece to scrub the areas the brush can`t get to, and a tire brush.

Oh, I give a thumbs up to EO Wet tire spray, picked up a bottle for like $4. I applied with a EO tire swipe and used about 1/4-1/2 an ounce for the 4 tires. Then came back around and gave them a quick swipe without spraying the swipe with any dressing. LEft a nice sheen on them with a dry feeling. So I know what to use on these tires now! (Used Meguiar`s Endurance, Lexol Vinylex, and Meguiar`s High Gloss before, Vinylex performed the best out of the bunch, now its EO.)

    Jason,

    You mean marks like these?

These were successfully removed with a PC . . . :nixweiss Are you saying that no amount of work with a PC can get out certain swirls, or just that it can take multiple applications and lots of work with a PC for deeper marks?

Kudos, Jason. As an ex-owner of a BMW with those exact same wheels, I completely understand the pain associated with cleaning those bastids...

    Great work, as always! :up

Which finish do you like better on that car? The zaino or the klasse/Souveran combo and why?

I must be a picky SOB. Yes tort they were like that, but they were deeper. Not like on the surface, looks like someone with a wool cutting pad did something to it. I mean I could catch finger nail in certain spots.

Must of been me, gonna hang up my PC for now.

fskof, I seem to prefer Z for some reason, gave it that bright sparkle. Klasse/Souveran has its place, but on certain cars I like Z more.

Looks great, Jason. Hopefully you haven`t run into a car with swirls too deep to remove completely. Very reflective finish!

Those wheels-all I can say is whoever at BMW approved that design (and the even worse design on the 7 series cars) should have to show up a every BMW owner`s house every week and clean them personally.

Minor rant: I cannot for the life of me, phathom why a car company who charges as much for their cars as BMW would not only have sold cars with such PITA wheels to clean, but also have brake pads that turn the wheels black in 2 days. My first mod to any BMW (or Mercedes) would be ceramic brake pads.

I couldn`t agree more. The rims on the current 330I are a major PITA to clean as well and they cake up with brake dust like crazy. It takes just about as long to clean the rims as it does the rest of the car. I`m not crazy about the way they look either. I`ve really got to look into getting those ceramic pads you keep mentioning.

Two days is good, mine are getting dirty after a few hours driving after washing the car

    @Intermezzo

I feel your pain, those are the notorious Style 73s. I have the multi-spoke 32s, they are also not easy to clean and PITA to keep brake-dust-free (almost impossible)

haha. a friend of mine at work was looking at a previous generation m5. it has those same bbs style wheels, i told him that he`d spend about half his life constantly cleaning those damn things. luckily, the wheels on my m3 are quite a bit easier to clean than those older ones or even the 330 wheels. which is good when the black dust pixies from bavaria visit my wheels only a day after a wash.
