I was at a local paint & supply store picking up a gallon of 3m perfect III rubbing compound. I asked if they sell clay, Oh boy was i glad i asked. They had an unadvertised special with the meguiar`s 227gms clay bar. ONLY 5.95, wow wish i had more money on me, would have bought more. I am going to go back tomorrow and buy some more and some extra in case anyone on autopia wants some. It will be only 5.95 plus shipping.

2 clay bars come in a container, should not be alot to ship.

First come first serve as i dont know how many he will have left tomorrow.

Meguiar`s is about the worst clay bar there is any many people`s opinion. I am sure Jason is familiar with this : You can ask him or do a search here and read about the problems people have had with it.

Its a decent clay, you may get slight streaking here and there that takes a little more effort to buff out.

But $6 for 8 oz and $4 priority shipping = $10 for clay!

Meguiar`s clay may suck, but anyway to save a few bucks is cool! May take a little more effort to buff but the results are great, leaves the finish as smooth as glass.

This is my first experience with clay and I paid $22 and change for it!

    Here are some pictures

EDIT: Meguiars consumer clay sucks royal rear end, much worse than this clay. Its scum.

Does the Meguiar`s Professional line of clay contain any abrasives like Clay Magic Red does?

Gee, yeah, what a steal! I would be willing to put up with the streaking if it were that cheap too. Mother`s kit (100 g bar) is $24 Cdn up here (about $16 US I guess) and I just found an Auto Magic dealer up here and got a 200 bar for $39 (about $23 US, but not detailer or wax, just the bar). Sheesh, the Great White North rips us off again...

ALL Clay Magic clay contains abrasives (as do all paint cleaning clays in general, including Meguiars, I am sure):

Clay magic Blue does not contain abrasives. My definition of abrasive is that it can remove paint off the surface...and I am not referring to oxidized paint that will come off with a wipe with a rag. In my use of clays I have never seen Clay Magic Blue or Zaino clay remove any paint...even on a non-clearcoated finish. Pinnacle Poly clay also has no abrasives.

Of course clay that has picked up heavy contaminants and is wiped across a finish can definitely cause scratches.

Clay Magic Blue DOES contain abrasives...2000 grit indicates that. However it doesn`t take off a significant amount of paint (if any), because of the action of lubricant.
