Petroleum?
Like Anthony said, it`s gotta be water. My second choice--mineral spirits.
Is this question related to my recent (if you can call April, 2022 "recent") post about "WATER"?
Ref: Sever Shortage of the Most-Used detailing Product: WATER!
If it is indeed water, all I know is we are paying A LOT for it in detailing products.
Come to think of it, the high cost of water also applies to a vast majority of the fluids and liquids that we buy and drink.
ANYWAY,Ron K., where are you going with this question???
GB detailer
Consider how many don`t understand about water and do not follow directions for dilution, that the water is the key and adding chemicals just makes the water "wetter", more effective of a cleaner.
Water is the universal solvent. Many only consider crude/petroleum based solvents. Of which there are hundreds, however they are broken into two catagories. Can you name the two and what is the basic difference??

Organic and Inorganic are two types you might want us to say, but it goes beyond that in classifications too.
Broad classifications may be Polar or Nonpolar, though I`m not sure what you`re wanting here.
Aprotic, Protic?
Water, ethanol, methanol, acetone?
Chemistry was a long time ago for me.
A society willing to trade liberty for temporary security deserves neither and will lose both

Having uhm.. [partied].. through that semester I won`t attempt to answer the "two types?" Q, but I`m still finding this an interesting thread.
Just waiting for more to jump in.

Accumulator is a very multi faceted, fascinating individual!
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.
