Ok, I`ve read a bit about mixing an ounce of Reload into your EcH2O mixture. Does any have experience with this? What are your thoughts?

How does mystic bubble compare to reset?

It’s very close…. Hard to tell. Both clean well and have good lubricity. I would base of either price (buy whatever cheaper) or smell. Reset has a clean smell. MB smells like blueberry bubble gum….

Adds more protection/gloss supposedly. I stopped using it. Basically formula A detailer Merlin came up with. Base formula for CarPro’s Elixer.

What is the purpose of drying agents. Is it for the beading action or something else. Maybe i don’t understand them. Taking about bead maker. Do people really need to use so called drying agents. Thanks

Drying aids provide lubrication to drying towels reducing the chance of marring soft paint. And because some of us can’t help from adding something/anything to the paint any chance we get.

Thanks for the explanation of drying aids or agents like bead maker. So you can use them but they are not necessary. Just another money maker.

Definitely not required or needed but some like them. Some think they add lubrication when drying. Some think they add some gloss, slickness, better water behavior, etc to the base protective layer. Some think they add some extra protection, a sacrificial layer to make the base layer last longer.

And others think, especially with coatings, that they inhibit the characteristics of the primary protection so some don’t like to put extra stuff on top.

Speaking to drying aids, the idea is to reduce the touching of the paint as much as possible. Many with coatings like to use a blower to get the bulk of the water off the paint so a towel is needed minimally but this works most with coatings and not so easily with waxes or spray sealants.

I really like COLLINITE 845 and SONAX polymer NETSHIELD.

You can do COLLINITE 845 by itself or you can COLLINITE 845 with a jescar power lock topper.

You have the combo portion backwards.

You should put down your sealant like Powerlock first and then your wax like 845.

You always want to lay down your strongest longest lasting product first.

I too am a fan of 845. Old school but still completes with many of the latest flavor of the month offerings

I have been through a few cans of Sonax PNS. I liked it for what it was but never cared for how grabby it was when applying or to the touch later. It does work as a fairly quick sealant to apply that’s get close to coating level water beading. The Gyeon Can Coat though is just as easy to apply for me and is a set closer to the full coating level I prefer.

For awhile I was using Sonax PNS as a quick wheel sealant since I could wash and dry then spray it all over the wheel and wipe in with a towel.

Troy. Please tell me what are some of your favorite wax and sealants. I thought you would of like spn a lot more.
