Plastic "Chrome" trim protection

I just replaced some trim pieces that are around the rear tail-lights on my DD that are "chrome" plated.
The old ones pused up with white spots after a couple of years (aftermarket) oddly enough not on every piece, seems the back and lower parts were the worst and the upper/side parts were still pretty good. I`ll attribute this to the shape of the vehicle which also makes the rear super dirty as it seems to suck all the dirt off the road onto the rear window somehow...

Anyway, looking to try to protect them with whatever might give them a fighting chance. I`ve got
FK1000 (worried about it on the chrome plastic??)
Collenite 845
CarPro HydrO₂
Adams Ceramic Spray coating
Various other waxes

Anyone have any suggestions? This is a daily driver that also sees winter roads and salt here in southern Ontario, regularly washed but....

FK 1000P, perfect, just follow directions, been using it for over 25 years on chrome, both real and plastic and paint. The Collenite 845 will work just as well.

Two "things" I`ve learned about chromed plastic trim:
1) Don`t use Stoner`s Tarminator on it. The solvents can "weaken" older plastic. I now use Poorboy`s World Bug Squash to remove tar and bugs on them.
2) Never use Chrome Cleaner on it. Its abrasives are much too harsh for the very thin chrome film on plastic. Stick with milder metal polish. And do not rub too "vigorously". I have seen this chrome film flake off in strips on older plastic trim, like grills.

Another great detailing product for chrome plastic is Klasse`s All-In-One (KAIO), Works really well on those interior knobs, switch levers, instrument gauge bezels, and vent grill edges that are chromed. I use cotton swabs (Q-Tips) on them for more precision application and removal of KIAO. This is especially true of interiors that have been smoked in. The chemical cleaners in KAIO remove smoke tar residue better than metal polishes. It`s easy to see this residue on the white cotton tips.

I`ve been looking for a reason to buy / try the "twins" but my closet full of various bottles and cans keeps telling me to stop.. Wish they had the AIO in a smaller jug but hey what`s another $40...

The KAIO makes a fine base for FK1000P, and it`s functionally nonabrasive, which is good for the "chromed" plastic.
