    blackfire ceramic coating black edition

Does this coating repel water? My daughter`s car sits outside 24/7, isn`t washed very much. I clayed, polished, eraser, and then 2 coats of the BF coating first of April this year. I washed it today and it didn`t repel the water any. If it doesn`t repel water much, how do I tell if it`s still protecting the paint or it`s gone?

    Thanks

It should bead up and yes repel water. Website says it sheets water but in video’s i’ve seen it repels well when new.

This video when he starts wash testing should show you water behavior.

Could be contaminated? Try washing with an Alkaline soap. I use Mkee’s coating prep soap.

I think someone else had an issue with it not beading well. Maybe they got a bad batch. Not sure.

Even when washed with something really good like Reset, if it`s been sitting out in the weather it might take another wash or two before the coating is clean and able to sheet water. That or a light claying. A good layer of Pollen alone will gum up any LSP, coating or sealant.
