    303 Graphene + The Camaro = Observations

I couldn`t stand it anymore. The Camaro NEEDED washed, so I figured why not...so I put a layer of the 303 Graphene coating on the car. Between the wash & application of the 303, it took a couple of hours with me taking my time not to miss anything. During the application, I noticed a few things:

    1. It does have a chemical smell, but it`s not bad and very light.

    2. It applies EASY, I can`t say that enough... EASY...after spraying the applicator 4 times to prime it (fresh new applicator), I only needed one spray on the pad to do an entire panel (or half a panel on the hood/roof). It spreads beautifully and thin. I didn`t get near the sweating Mike did in his evaluation, but I think I used less than he did and then wiped it over the surface several times to make sure I got 100% coverage (too, I didn`t spray both the panel and the applicator, just the applicator and wiped it on).

    3. It IS grabby on removal, and even after buffing off the residue, it doesn`t feel slick under the towel. It is NOT difficult to remove, just different than what I`m used to. In the video Mike posted by 303, I saw they also applied it to the windows, so I did too. On the glass, after buffing off, I used my fingernails and then it DID feel slick, just not under the towel.

    4. As far as removal, it was complete. No smearing/hazing/clouding...no NOTHING. Which on my black car is VERY impressive because EVERYTHING does one or more of those things.

    5. In the brief moment when I had sun light, I noticed that it seemed to have hidden or filled the minor surface swirling that was on the hood, impressive.

All in all, a pleasant experience. The car looks phenomenal and the 303 was very user-friendly. The proof is in the pics, so here you go...

How would you say it compares to the Turtle Wax Flex Wax?

I was thinking of doing half my mustang hood with a bottle of 303 my brother gave me and the other half with Flex Wax. If I ever have a free weekend, I`ll try it just for kicks. Haven`t had a chance to use either yet.

Ease of use goes to the 303 hands down, initial slickness - Flex Wax, durability ?????????

I have 2 layers of Flex Wax on the wife`s Escape and now the 303 on the Camaro. Mine gets driven far more, but it also gets the garage. Her`s doesn`t get driven as much, but is out in the elements 24/7. I`ll keep an eye on both cars and see which one does better.

Since yesterday, the car feels a bit slicker. According to 303 Products it has no "cure" time, but I think SOMETHING is going on in the hours after application. And I found out they recommend a MAXIMUM of 3 coats, that you achieve maximum benefit from 3 and they say that there is no added benefit of going 4+ coats.

Enjoy for the weeks (not months) it lasts! Another graphene fad product unfortunately.. shame from 303 as they do make some decent products.

We shall see... I plan on putting a total of 3 coats on like 303 recommends and if it fails, I always have the Turtle Wax Hybid Solutions and Pro line to fall back on.

Very nice work Don. I have used the 303 once and I`m not sure of it. I think it applied very nicely and looks good but the removal part was kind of tricky. It was very grabby and I felt like I was rubbing harder than I normally do. Plus it turned my towel black (to be expected). Keep us posted on how this works for you. I might give it more tries and see how it works out. From what I`ve read it seems like a good product.

I didn`t find it tricky to remove, I was just kind of surprised that it wasn`t slick. Once I got over that, removal was easy. I didn`t have to use too much pressure - but it did kind of FEEL like I was ... probably because I had to concentrate on holding onto to the towel or else the residue felt like it would "grab" the towel out of my hand. IIRC on the 303 website, they mention the grabby feeling is the graphene on the surface of the car. I`ll look it back up again later.

I plan on doing two more coat this week (probably on my days off) so I`ll see if removal is any different since there is already a layer down.
