Graphene coatings vs ceramic sprays & sealants...

I`ve read a few positives & negatives about these & now w/ this new graphene out. IK there will be variables in paint, condition, ect, but in a same for same DD vehicle, What does graphene get you? thanx for the input.....

Re: Graphene coatings vs ceramic sprays & sealants...

The main selling point of graphene is that they are less prone to water spots. Although it is about the same from my experience. Don`t buy into the hype of the claim of the surface staying cooler. That has not been proven and there is no difference in surface temps compared to a ceramic. One thing is that they appear to be a bit on the slicker side.

Keep in mind that these are ceramic coatings that are infused with graphene oxide.

I am referring to the coatings. I don`t use spray or sealants anymore as forms of stand alone protection.

If you have interest in trying one then try it and see if you like it.

Canadian Health Ministry has issued a health warning regarding graphene particles, more studies to be performed .

The Ceramic Coatings weren`t as impressive to me. The gloss and protection was better than PRE CERAMIC products on the market. I did use 303 Graphene Nano back in December and was very much impressed. The gloss was much better, with less water spots. I left the unwashed and dirty for several months, and then recently washed it after 3 months. The Graphene was still on there repelling and bouncing off dirt and water. I was impressed. More recently I just tried the Hybrid Graphene Wax and than the Sealant. The wax is a good product with good gloss, but it`s not that easy to remove. The Spray Sealant was much easier to apply and remove. With regards to the gloss, The Hybrid Solutions seems much better, and leaves the paint very soft, like Carnauba Wax. I`ll have to report back on the protection in a few months.

The car I applied it to is a 2003 ML350 with Black Paint.

Not much use with graphene. I’ve only tried Adam’s graphene spray coating. Was awesome stuff.

The month I had it on it was going toe to toe with Moonlight which went toe to toe with CanCoat.

I have read it out performs Adam’s ceramic spray coating.

Not bought into graphene totally asI believe someone like Gyeon, Cquartz or Gtechniq would have released a Graphene coating if it was a game changer.

    >>>Very well could be they aren`t there yet or could be the ``coatings`` don`t work w/ a graphene make up....Or perhaps the make up of graphene doesn`t work w/ ``coatings`` IDK, as I`m not a chemist just throw a few ideas out.....

I`m not sure how much of the graphene actually gets locked into the wax or coating when some of it stays in the applicator and the removal towel. Seems like an ineffective application at best. That`s based on my use of the 303 graphene.

I agree. Probably same performance without the graphene.

Re: Graphene coatings vs ceramic sprays & sealants...

So far I have tried 303`s Graphene, Xtreme solutions Graphene spray , IGL F4 and Zymol graphene ( yes i bought this crap).

For me the 303 is really nice and made the surface easy to clean. The XS Graphene spray is very slick and glossy and makes cleaning the surface real easy.
I still love IGL premier and Eco shine wax very minimal water spots. Moonlight and Reload were the worst for water spots.
