The HD Cleanse I was using was the old blend, meaning it had broken down and that probably is what led to my issues with the application. Only time will tell how long it truly lasts, but when a company that’s been around for 40 years in the car protection industry makes a claim like this you should have some reassurance.

Now here’s some pictures, like I said the car had CQuartz prior, and had nowhere near the depth it has now!

    That red looks awesome.

So seems like Reflect and Eraser didn’t remove CQ and prep. Then you tried an old HD Cleanse which proceeded to leave some polishing marring and haze, then finished with Reflect and prep with Eraser, correct?

How old was the HD Cleanse bottle that is supposedly old blend?

2wookies- Welcome to Autopia! Interesting read, good to hear from somebody who`s used the stuff and had to get dialed-in on it. INteresting about the reformulation of HDC, wonder how the new version works with conventional LSPs like their Estate Glazes.

Saturday didn’t go how I wanted, HD cleanse is supposed to be a final polish but it was causing major marring on this soft red GM paint.
Wow, stuff like HDC used to be fine on even the softest ss lacquers! Wonder what they say you should use now...

And it`s interesting that the HDC had "gone bad".

..[the].. correct application of Cleanse was the entire bottle on the car. Okydokie..
Good heavens, a whole bottle of the stuff?!? On a car the size of a Camaro?

Heh heh, if you`ll pardon me for being a bit of a smart-[aleck]..

when a company that’s been around for 40 years in the car protection industry makes a claim like this you should have some reassurance...
You`re infinitely more trusting than I am. Yeah, Zymol has been around since *LONG* before motor vehicles were invented, but, uhm...I`d put zero credence in that. Some of their products have been mediocre at best and that`s being charitable.

Wonder if they`re still affiliated with Turtle Wax..who`ve certainly upped their game and, it seems to me, in somewhat the same direction as this stuff.

Anyhow...I`m glad it turned out so well, though sorry you had to struggle to get it there.

Correct, I’m not sure on the actual age. But Chuck says they’re only good for a year. Also it was their old formula, when I looked around the bottle that I had was a discontinued one.

As far as using the whole bottle, once you really get going with the product it goes pretty quickly.

Products with carnauba tend to darken paint and add some depth and warmth. That can look nice on a solid color.

Quite correct that was my intention

Saw that video, he also didn’t follow manufactures procedure.

You need to apply HD Cleanse prior to coating.

On the link that was removed I see there is a chance about using HD cleanse. So Brian did not use it incorrectly. Also it should not matter what type of prep product is used as HD cleanse is not any kind of primer.

A users bottle with no mention of HD cleanse. Zymol is going into damage control after Brian`s video.

    Re: Zymol Atomic Graphene Shield

I was the first person in the UK to order a bottle and confirm my findings were very similar to Brians (Apex)
Zymol are clutching at straws trying to salvage some credibility about this product, they should recall the ones they`ve sold and develop one that actually does as they say.

I`m seeing products with some pretty wild claims that these companies have no idea if the product will even come close to their marketing hype.
