.. or nano-atomic coating. Always need catch word or phrase for sales-grabbing attention. I would use the phrase Infinitesimally Atomic Graphene Armor, but that sounds redundant now, doesn`t it! (NO, more like stupid, Captain Obvious!) Hey, we do NOT say "stupid" in this forum...dumb, lame, unintelligent, wacko; maybe...

Wait! It is a reformulation of Blue Coral`s Fomblin-A found in their 1990`s product AutoFom. Queue in Tim Allen as pitchman in late-night TV infomercial for "Atomic Graphene Shield". (You have been cleaning with 3M`s Adhesive Remover in unventilated areas again, haven`t you, Captain Obvious??)

So it`s $234 for a case, $26,208 for a pallet (112 cases) Buying the pallet you don`t even save a buck lol.

Wouldn`t surprise me if one of their 17 tyre dressings had that name..

Apparently, graphene is a single layer of graphite. So it could be viewed simply as rubbing a pencil on your car. Last I checked pencil lead was black. I`d assume that grphene would darken slightly and mute metallic.

    That`s why I said a thin layer, otherwise you`d have a sketch!

I`m not really sure what the purpose of adding graphite to a polymer would be. In it`s purest form it`s coal and most coal isn`t extremely hard. I`d be more impressed with a Liquid Diamond car coating.

Graphene is just a portion of graphite.
It is just a thin layer of graphite. I assume this is the claim of "atomic graphene". Since it is on the atomic level.
Graphene is inherently strong based on the covalent bonds with each atom. Where as Graphite itself is very brittle. Graphene is also known as a semimetal. And it doesn`t absorb heat as easily as other materials. This is way it is used in Nuclear Reactors.

Complete disclosure. I am not a chemist and haven`t taken chemistry since I graduated form College 24 years ago. Also I hated chemistry including inorganic and organic chemistry. So my memory is probably a little off.

IMHO, I still think it is a lot of marketing hype.

Tc99M- Well, your Chem memory from 24 years ago sure beats mine (from 30-some) by a country mile!

I think there is one in Australia that I saw Car Craft review some time ago (Nv Nova) and was obliterating Kamikaze Miyabi in testing.
