    Recommendations on a wash-wax product?

    To set up my scenario,

I`m setting up a mobile wash trailer to service my commercial accounts. I need a product I can run through the power washer to not only clean, but give a little bit of protection and shine. I don`t expect it to be a long lasting, or super shine product. I need it to last about a month or so, most of my customers want their equipment done on a monthly rotation. I`ll be washing semi`s, dump trucks, construction equipment (yes people want shiny bulldozers), etc. I don`t want to spend a lot of time buffing or drying the product afterwards, time is tight, and we have to keep moving. Cost is also a factor, I don`t mind spending a little more for a good product, but I also need to stay within the budget.

So what do you all think? Am I asking too much out of a product, have you had any experience with these?

Ha, interesting question, first thing that comes to mind is something like ECH20, not sure how that would work through the pressure washer or what dilution to use (or if it would even work well that way), but I`m a bit out of the loop, so hopefully someone more tuned in will help.

I’m using a 40 gallon soap tank, looks like most products are 1oz per gallon, when I switch the washer to the soap nozzle it acts somewhat like a soap cannon, not quite as sudsy though.

My first thought is rather than a solution in the soap to use a product like CarPro Hydro2 after rinsing the soap away. Definitely fits the bill for easy and quick but at a trade off of a premium price. Spritz sparingly from a spray bottle in one hand, pressure washer in the other hand only limitation is how fast you can get around the vehicle with your pressure washer hose. Think we all use too much at first, you`ll notice a pressure washer can spread the coverage onto adjacent panels.

    Would make 3.5 liters:

    Ready to run version:

Forgot they`ve got a snowfoam type product but I`ve never heard anyone talking about it:

McKees makes a version of it, I`m sure others do but I`ve only used CarPro and McKees and they are both solid.

    Then there is this:

Seems like cost would be a contributing factor. 303 Touchless Sealant might be a decent option. Spray and rinse. Runs about $15 for a bottle at your local autoparts store.

    gorram,

Thanks for the leads, those look appealing, probably have good results, but I don’t think they can used in direct sunlight. We’re outside, usually will do 5 semi’s at a time.

    I’ll look into that.

McKees Hydro Blue is supposed to be sun safe. Though I`ve used Hydro2 with no issues in the sun but yeah, not on a vehicle of that size though.
