Seeking Recomendations for Sealants to be used with PPF Film?

Dose anyone have some recommendations on paint sealants that work well with Xpel Ultimate Film? I`ve search around but I can`t seem to find enough information on this particular subject and I don`t want to use Coating.

You didn’t mention vehicle type, how much use it will get our your general location. All of these things could effect the recommendations.

Personally I would look for a “clear” sealant like Opti Seal, Opti Car wax, Ultima Paint guard. Or even some of the many Si02 spray sealants. They would give you some protection as long as you apply them more regularly.

I like the Optimum stuff because they are easy to use and have the add UV inhibitors to help long term.

I`ve used Collinite waxes, FK1000P, and KSG on PPF with no negative outcomes. The OCW is indeed a good choice, just doesn`t last very long so be sure to reapply frequently.

Sorry I forgot to fill in a little more detail about the Vehicle. 2019 Golf R which is my daily driver in Norther California. Nearly half the car is covered in PPF Film due to my OCD. At the moment I occasionally use Power lock + or P&S Beadmaker. I try and hand wash the car every two weeks and I`m always looking at refining my technic and product selection. Thank you all for your suggestions.

I know you mentioned you don`t want to venture into a coating but have a look at cquartz skin. So easy to use that anyone can do it. It does work well. GTechniq Halo is another option.

This is right from Dr. Beasley website

    Application Instructions
    1. Before applying Film Coating, ensure the PPF or clear bra is free of contaminants using Dr. Beasley`s Film Cleanser.
    2. Spray Film Coating Prep onto a film-wrapped panel and remove with a microfiber cloth. This will remove any excess residues and provide anchor points for Film Coating to bond with.
    3. Wrap the suede cloth around the foam block applicator and apply ~10 drops of Film Coating down the cloth in a line.
    4. Start by applying Film Coating in vertical lines down the panel. After covering the panel with vertical lines, go back and repeat with horizontal lines. This crosshatch pattern will ensure full coverage. Avoid getting the product in panel gaps.
    5. When you see the product flashing (it will appear slightly iridescent), wipe the panel with a clean, dry microfiber towel.
    6. Repeat steps 4-5 on each panel until all of the vehicle`s film-wrapped surfaces are coated. Reapply several drops of Film Coating on your applicator after a few panels.
    7. After coating, leave the vehicle undisturbed for one hour.

    Guz has another great suggestion

You may have commented already in another post so forgive me for asking is Skin slick to the touch? I recently put Halo on my PPF and very impressed by its slickness and water behavior.

I’ve tried the following toppers in the past
    Sonax BSD
    Griots Spray on wax
    P&S Bead Maker
    Fictech Supercharged
    Nanolex SiSplash
    Jescar Bead-it

Yes it is. You will feel it as soon as you wipe it off.

I have S Tech DYNOshield PPF on one of my cars. I coated it with cquartz Skin. I’m happy with the results. As for toppers I have maybe 101 varieties on my self. ok maybe that is a little exaggerated. For a toppers all I care about is gloss. Bead Maker, Polish angel, IG enhancer and Geyon quick detailer are my favorites. If I had to only use one? Polish angel..

I just want to know exactly what kind of doctor Dr Beasley is. Is he a cosmetic surgeon or a proctologist? Does he tell his patients, Wax on, wax off?
