    cerakote trim restorer, impressive?

On the surface from watching a couple of vids. from Wilson and Apex, I am impressed that this trim restorer will last quite a while - they say 200 washes. I don`t have anything in my collection that will last through a few washes let alone more than 100. This would save anyone time having to re-dress/recoat black trim.
Interested what every one who any experience with this product.

I have experience with this product, I have been quite impressed with it, too. Restored the trim on my mother`s RX350 with this product, it has been on the trim since December. Very hydrophobic, gives the trim a rich color. The only downside is prep work and the smell of the actual product. I recommend applying the product in a very well ventilated environment, if you don`t have a respirator that protects against vapors. I used six out of ten wipes on a 2010 RX350, applied to all exterior black trim, and to the trim in between the doors and the body, so you can have a reference of how far the product will work for you. Regarding prep work, I cleaned ALL the trim with a magic eraser and Goof Off Household Heavy Duty Spot Remover and Degreaser.

************Edit: After cleaning the trim with the Goof Off product, I did do an IP wipe before coating installation.

Brian liked it, the durability`s 2 years which if truthful is still great. But I don`t know if even the most Autopian detailer here washes their car 200 times in 2 years. IMHO they should just say 2 years on the box, that`s impressive as hell. 200 washes for the average person`s like 4-8 years lol.

I used it on my Crosstrek. Easy to apply and nice finish. I`d be thrilled to get a year out of it.

Does this stuff apply pretty evenly? Or do you need to level it out?

Cerakote’s firearm coatings are excellent. Great company, too.

Just used it and pretty happy. Don’t love the application towelettes but got use to them. Streaked in some places but feel it was application error as I applied haphazardly like a sealant than more directly like a paint coating.

Whey to glossy after application but toned down after a week. Still more gloss than ssatin or matte but a nice solid look.

    Would/will use again.

Same here - a little streaky, but more than ok. Ok enough to order another batch. I wonder how this compares to CQUARTZ DLUX?

    Re: cerakote trim restorer, impressive?

If anyone is interested, I have pics fromSept last year on my 07 Expy of before and after with both Cerakote and Wipe New (Rustoleum) on the same rear bumper and can add current pics. Even on older trim it does a great job of restoring the color.
