A quick look at some MF

Here are a few that I’ll be using and wanted to share.

380 gsm, 16 x 16, edgeless, short nap on one side longer on the other. Very soft with some heft.
Got ‘em for 10$ for 5.

700 gsm, 16 x 16, double towel with edges sewn inside,
2 color long nap on both sides. Super soft and light.
    3 for 14$.

A hybrid MF and wool pad, feels a bit coarser then B&S
    Version. 5” - 11$, 3” - 2pac 14$.

What liquid do you plan on using with those pads?

CAREFUL with that Adams One Step Pad. Crazy absurd cut, more than any MF pad I`ve used. That pad plus McKees 360 put micromarring on my Ford paint which shouldn`t ever happen. Instead of cleaning the pad, I tossed it out.

I was kind of wary about those Adams pads being “one-step” pads. Most wool or microfiber pads leave some micro marring that needs a second step with a finishing polish to get rid of. I just don’t see them working as a good one step option. Wool blend pads are getting better (ie Rupes) but I’m skeptical about going straight to LSP from wool or microfiber. Maybe I’m too picky.

Shineys Detail offers their edgeless 5 pack Bull Shine double plush Korean 500 GSM towels for $19.95. I bought a pack. They have stayed super soft through repeated washings.

Thanks for posting! Looks like some quality MF towels!

I like Adam`s 1 step pads/polish combo and have had some very good results with it. In my experience, I achieved almost LSP level of finishing with them, (it would have been fine, but I had to take it one step further) but I finished it out with a finishing pad/polish.

    Sure will, T-man.
I have to strip my GQ of many sealants and several layers of wax, first

Will be trying to work S17 into my arsenal, just need a pad that I feel comfortable with.
S40 for finishing. I have 6 Honey spiders & Gloss pads for the smaller areas.

    Wow Thanks for the warning.
My backup cut pads are MF, & Rupes med. wool.

Right, I really like to do a finishing polish w/ Rupes white.

Thanks, I`m trying to mix it up a bit, to be more versatile.
Which is funny because I`m back to S40, after many other finishing polishes.
Probably be picking up some Rupes white pads as a fallback.

    The IGL Coating removal towel

    These are some sweet towels.
    Soft, some heft, 16 x 16. 300 gsm. Edgeless.
Short linear pile on one side,
slightly longer super smooth, cashmere or camel on
    the other, hard to explain.
Not RC Minx like but much more silkier.
    Smoother than RC Pearls too.

I’ll be trying them when I coat my trim.
Probably buy another set, they are that nice.

    TRC 350 gsm Eagle.

In a new yellow, just like the lavender.

    These will be some of
    my favorites.
