If you could start all over from the beginning.

Well, as the title suggests, if you guys could stock your arsenal beginning from nothing and knowing what you know now, what chemicals would you guys buy? Let`s keep this limited to protection and cleaning products. If you could tailor one regimen to work for all of your vehicles.

    Let me start:

    Cleaners:
    CarPro Multi-x (500mL)
    CarPro Reset (1000mL)
CarPro Iron X Snow Soap (1000mL)
    CarPro ECH20 (500mL)
    Gyeon Bathe+ (1000mL)
    CarPro Iron X (1000mL)
    Stoners Tarminator
    Super Clean Degreaser (1gal)
    3D Pink Car Soap (1gal)
Chemical Guys Honey Dew Snow Foam (1gal)
Rustoleum Wax and Grease Remover (32oz)
    DPC REVIVE (16oz)
    Poorboy`s World Bird SH!T Remover (32oz)
    Black Fire Foam Booster (16oz)
    Distilled Vinegar (1gal)
    91% ISP or IPA (~16oz)
    Zep Ammonia-Free Glass Cleaner (1gal)

    Protection:
    CarPro Essence (250mL)
    CarPro Essence Plus (250mL)
    DPC ARMOR (16oz)
    DPC REFLECT (16oz)
    TAC Systems Moonlight (250mL)

Re: If you could start all over from the beginning.

Bare-bones list, just cleaning and paint/trim protection:

    Cleaning:
    -3D Pink Car Soap
    -IUDJ
-Optimum Power Clean (or equiv. maybe P21s TAW, been using 3D and it`s fine)
    -Griot`s Interior Cleaner
-Some tire/rubber cleaner (undecided, been using Griot`s)
    -Griot`s Rubber Prep
-Nextzett/1Z Cockpit Premium Interior QD (or the Meguiar`s one)
    -Zep40 Glass Cleaner
    -3D 50:1 Glass Cleaner
    -Griot`s Glass Cleaner
    -ValuGard New Car Prep
    -3M Adhesive Remover

    Protection:
    -FK1000P
    -OCW
    -Meguiar`s UQW
    -Ultima TTG+
-Some matte-finish Tire Dressing (been using Pinnacle and Griot`s)

Guess the weirdest thing about the above would be the three different Glass Cleaners, but I use them all for different jobs and wouldn`t want to be without any of them. I use all the stuff on that list regularly, and could probably get by OK without anything else.

Every time I look into a new-to-me vehicle, my wife hopes that I buy a white one just for the ease with which I can keep it, uhm...good enough.

    Wouldn`t coat it though..but that`s just me.

Re: If you could start all over from the beginning.

Bilt Hamber Surfex HD effective from neat up to 1:100 and as a prewash foam during winter months. An APC and more if that is possible
Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam the most effective to desolve the road film that I have used
Bilt Hamber Auto-wash car soap (this one I think accumulator would want) no wax or glossenhancer but it leaves behind corrosion inhibitors which is awesome to clean the undercarriage with or if you have an older car with rock chips that is rusting or other damages that are bare metalls chrome bumpers.
    Carpro Reset car soap
Carpro TarX or Tac System Zero Tar I think that they are the same.
    Herrenfarth Sprühglanz
    Angelwax Enigma QED
    Angelwax QED
Polish Angel Master Sealant. This is little uncertain since I`m not set on the base protection yet. Tac System Moonlight or 1-step Master (like Moonlight but with a more sealant like solution.
Gyeon Wet Coat. For rim protection. And know even more since they released a new stronger version 2019.
    Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus
Adam`s Tire and Rubber Cleaner or Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner
    Tac System Tire Coat
Angelwax Vision glass cleaner. Outside windows.
Scholl Ice. Glass cleaner that is water repellent and anti-fog and also a water spot remover on the paint.
Scholl SPAM SS. For the really dirty work as wheel wells and undercarige and engine compartment (the most effective to clean the inside parts of the engine. That burned in oil and burned fuels. If that`s is a cleaner to be needed some time LOL)
Scholl Boost. For the plastic and rubber you don`t want to be slippery and still protect. Pedals and rubber matts and engine compartment dressing.
    Carpro PERL. Outside trim.
Ultima Interior Guard Plus. Inside protection.
Ultima Interior Schampo Gel. Maintance interior cleaner that is very effective. The huge benefit with this is the cleaning of sensitive interior roofs and that it don`t need to be wiped off with a damp mf towel or rinsed in any way.
303 Rubber Seal Protectant. Door rubber seals this is a must have. And it`s like magic to soften up dried rubber seals that is sealing from moisture where ever you can open something on the vehicals. If you have gotten more wind noise from the doors just get this and problem solved LOL.

I`m all over the place with different products LOL. But they are awesome

Very simple, Griot’s and Modesta! Best system I’ve used in the 20 years we’ve been in business.

Re: If you could start all over from the beginning.

I would hate to say it but if I knew then what I know now I would have just stuck with OTC products such as Mother`s or Meguiars instead of all the product that I have that is now outdated. All of which I will never use up in my lifetime and at least one I haven`t used, a big bottle of Sonax Profiline 4/6. I bought it for the Camaro a few years ago right before I gave up on keeping it clean and shiny. I know my collection is small but with only one vehicle the stuff will never get used especially with the pickup which I am not as worried about how it looks. Oh well hindsight is 20/20.

    Move to America.
    Shop products at Walmart.
Wash & Vac once per week (regardless of weather)
    Ignore Swirls
Never be concerned with the perceived extra 5% gained with any other product not sold at Walmart.

Heh heh, we might not have as many cool cars to choose from as you do Down Under!

..Wash & Vac once per week (regardless of weather)..
Heh heh#2, I did that for decades, bet a lot of people here at Autopia still do it that often. Or even more frequently!

    ..Ignore Swirls..
But could you really do that? I can ignore stuff that requires special inspection conditions (hence the "white cars" thing, if I need the SunGun in a dark room to see it I can live with it on white..but not on any other color), but if it`s something that`s visible under normal conditions it`d simply drive me nuts.

Could you get the durability you`d want that way? I`d hate to be reLSPing every few months.

Don`t have a lot of PA products. They are pricey unfortuneally. Esclate Lotion and Master Sealant and High Gloss and Supersport Wheel Coating is those I have. High Gloss is what I have used so far on a test panel. If I would have a garage queen and could put in the money on awesome products. I would not hesitate to buy more from Polish Angel. Looks wise I have not heard any negative about or the ease of use. Think it`s the Sprayduster that they have had real problems with but the new version seems ok. Then it`s the claimed longevity of pretty much every LSP product that is far from the claimed ones. But there it can be much user errors I think and wrong descriptions of the application of them. Their creamy solution they have on pretty much every LSP product is like we see some have problems with Meguiars HCW. That the dwell time before wipe it off is longer than useally and I have seen different direction to apply them too. The carries I don`t think gets enough time to evaporate. With HCW it`s for the safety user friendly they did it a thicker solution. The problem is on a too wet panel if you don`t wipe it in the solution don`t reach the paint before rinsed off. And that could be a problem when it`s a spray on rinse off coating product. If doing as noted under the description it`s okay but if you spray and rinse off I have seen no effect on it what so ever. And it`s not a bad way for consumers. Since most spray on rinse off coating product you need to be very fast in warmer temperature so they don`t streak or high spots. Wait until summer months and more average Joe start to use it. I think we will hear a lot of high spots from the HCW. Have seen a car where they applyied Wet Coat on the whole car before rinsing it off. And a lot of product was used and think it was a 500ml bottle he emptied. It`s get a lot thicker on the paint than when rinse it off properly LOL.
Angelwax and Bilt Hamber I think many would like their products. UK have some brands that are really great and the german Scholl and Koch Chemie brands is also great. Swedish brands is more bulk products that are cleaning products. Which many of them getting rebranded and a little adjusted to other domestic detailing company brands. So no export from those. Sonax is our Meguiars here and they have a lot more products offered than you have. Turtle Wax is also an OTC that has been here in Sweden for a long time.
