I`m in PA. I stopped at the store and they had just gotten a tote in with a couple bottles.

If this lasts anywhere near 3-4 months that would be great for this weekend detailer.
Nice to know it darkens slightly. Thanks for the feedback.
Being a coating, I think it works best when applied to a clean and prepped surface, with no pre-existing wax. You may find the durability compromised and won`t get the best endurance.

Unless Essence lies underneath of it…?

I fully assume Essence would be just as good underneath as a clean surface (maybe even glossier and more durable?!?).

Picked up a bottle of CMX at my local Pepboy`s this morning. Laid it on top of Essence that is a couple years outdated, on a Slate Green BMW that has been getting a two step minor correction/polish. Will post pics when I`m done, I am not sure about longevity, but it is quite glossy.

Re: New Mothers CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING
Not bad shine for an over the counter product, Essence does add a bit of gloss to the equation, but that extra 10%:
CMX was very easy to use, I found that after letting the applicator sit in the open air for a couple of hours it did begin to harden like spent polish in in an uncleaned towel. I applied the *coating-lite* in a cross hatch pattern and let it sit for a few minutes, as it says on the back of the bottle. The product goes on very light and thin, I used less than an ounce on this entire e39.

Re: New Mothers CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING
I sprayed a test panel with some CMX, let it sit for about half an hour and sprayed some water on it. It beaded up nice. Pretty good for a not fully cured product. I then sprayed some apple cider vinegar on it and wiped it off. Then I sprayed it with water. The beading ability was reduced but it didn`t strip the product fully. Still, a decent torture test for a not fully cured product.

So don’t take your freshly CMX’d vehicle to the pumpkin patch come fall in case anyone has apple cider vinegar in the parking lot

Matt, the gloss on the BMW`s right fender looks terrific !

I’m very impressed with the self cleaning abilities of this product! After a day of snow, sleet, and road grime, I was pleasantly surprised to see an extremely clean vehicle after a little bit of rain overnight.

Same experience here. Car had a layer of road salt on it from snow a few days after application and then it rained the other day and the car is almost spotless!

Makes me want to coat the areas that I didn’t do. IE: glass, side steps and rails, bumpers and trim. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4d36ba70a2.jpg

(dunno ? )
I`m still trying to figure out how to wash the salt brine off the car `touchless~ to this very day without having the need to mechanical wash afterwards.
I`ve even pulled the car out of the garage on a 36 hr noreaster to let the solids surface pre-soak and following up with my pressure washing rinsing with not much change on the HP rinse
