    Question Fighting Dry Rot

I`m starting to get the beginning stages of dry rot on the tires of my `31 Chevy. I was wondering if anyone has a product they really like that sort of counters/slows dry rot?

Obviously, the best solution is to drive the car more but due to reliability issues it`s not always running and ends up sitting months on end. The car is always kept in the garage and I do roll it around every now and again.

From my poking around on Autopia Car Care the only product I really found was McKees RV Tire Cleaner.

Does anyone have a product they really like or recommend that is petrochemical and silicone free?

    Thanks

303 Aerospace Protectant may help as it blocks UV rays. It depends on how far gone your tires are.

for cleaning the McKee`s product is great. I use the regular version not he RV version followed by McKee`s tire dressing or coating. With that being said having been in the tire business for most if my life I can tell you it won`t slow it down much. How old are the tires??

Hmm, no harm in the McKee`s anyway though.

I`m not sure how old they are, I`d have to ask my grandad but probably somewhere around 10 years.
