Connolly`s Hide Food- Leather Conditioner - nla?

Some years ago, I bought the above listed product a few years ago, thought it was pretty good - though the wrong product to use on my ventilated seats, but I don`t see it mentioned here on Autopia as something to use. Did it fall out of favor somehow?

Gee, I`d almost forgotten about mine...should`ve put it in the fridge, wonder if it`s gone bad..

Perhaps people have gravitated towards "more modern"/newer, or more synthetic/less natural ones.

I only used it in the Jag, and that was just habit from the `80s..."it`s Connolly leather, so use their stuff" kind of thinking..hey, I was younger then.

When I first got my Landcruiser in 95 I used Hide Food.

It was a waste of time on Clear Coated seats.

If your seats aren`t clear coated I`d use Leatherique, it seems more suitable.

Use it every six months to a year on the MDX and the Infiniti, which have ventilated seats

Seems to improve the look and protect the leather.

    Connolly is still around: CONNOLLY

But I think the original formula was forced to change since it used animal fats. That`s when the name changed from Hide Food to Hide Care.

    Ah, well...IMO that`s probably a good update.
