    PC 7424XP vs HF 6"

Which one for 3" duty? I currently have the GG3 and want to step up my 3" polisher to a more powerful unit. Any body have experience with the PC and HF units for 3" duty? How about the noise levels of the two machines?

I don`t have any experience with the GG3 but I`ve heard if you use thin pads it helps the powe considerably. What pads are you running? Between the two machines you listed for 3" I would go PC they run forever.

I have both the HF and PC...and I`ve had a GG3. I prefer the HF polisher hands down between the 3. Most power and best price.

Specifically for 3" setup, LC CCS in various colors, I know that they are a little overkill for the GG3 using 3"backing plate, but they were my first buy`s for the GG6 w/ 3" backing plate. I got the GG3 a long time ago and quite like it for 2" work, so I`d like to upgrade it to a machine that can run a 3" pad effectively.

My only thoughts with the PC tend to be around the idea of if I`m spending the money for the PC, why don`t I pony up and by the Adam`s Swirl Killer Mini w/ discount for ~$20 more?

That hollow shaft on the PCXP would always be a deal-breaker for me..once again, somebody here just had his break and luckily he avoided the Big Oops.

I Use the HF for 3" work all the time, more then enough power and it`s inexpensive. I don`t use it too often so no need for me to spend more to get a name brand machine. I flipped the body the switch is on the side and put in better grease which made it smoother and quitter.
