Re: Recharge v Overcoat v VS1
Truck did not see much inclement weather, probably about 200 miles or so since last week. Didn`t bother washing with McKees or anything, just 16oz of tap water sprayed from Kwazar Mercury Pro spray bottle.

At it seems the leader so far is....the Gyeon Prime + CanCoat applied 11/2017 that was under the masking tape between sections:
Recharge on left, Overcoat on right, Gyeon in middle:

Just gonne let the water from tap dry in it, which will no doubt leave water spots. Will probably not update any until February 26th as I`m gonna sit at home doing next to nothing all next week and won`t see truck until I go back to work on 26th. Hopefully will have some more miles/abuse on it by then.

Re: Recharge v Overcoat v VS1
Just couldn`t leave well enough alone so I went back there, filled a 5 gallon bucket of water and tossed it at the hood. All sheeted off pretty cleanly, perhaps VS1 the quickest, Recharge the slowest, Overcoat in the middle. Hard to say though...not much difference really: https://www.autopia.org/forums/attac...id=34377&stc=1

Thanks Budget!!!
It`s funny to see the Gyeon section, thin or not, thrown in there like that :) And thanks so much for your contributions with so much testing.
Re: Recharge v Overcoat v VS1
Can be a looooong winter in Cleveland...this is the kinda stuff that passes for entertainment in my life; not sure if that`s a good or bad thing.
The Gyeon `stripes` are kinda interesting. Given that one can get it around $35-$40 depending on sales maybe the whole `booster` use is pointless; just rub on some CanCoat every month. I`d also forgotten just how good 22ple VS1 Final Coat is...hadn`t used it since March 2017.

You won`t get nothing bad from me. Yesterday, I was being "entertained" by watching YouTube videos on spray bottles!!
Re: Recharge v Overcoat v VS1
So awesome that you left the cancoat lines there ! Shows you what a true coating product vs a topper can do for you...I applaud you sir

I agree with Matt`s post above. The CanCoat stripes are stealing the show.
Re: Recharge v Overcoat v VS1
Thanks a million Budget! I`m totally opposite when it comes to weather conditions. Here in Hawaii our "winter" is 88 degrees so our enemy 24/7 is the sun and salt. Anyway keep up the good work, my bottle arrives in a week or so I`ll do my part and keep u guys updated on Recharge vs UV rays. Have a great weekend

It`ll be interesting to see how sun and salt affects things; a climate combo I have no info about. I`ll bet some of the things we do around here are totally null and void there with respect to product performance and usage.
Curious...

So will the winner be pitted against PA High Gloss, Cosmic Spritz, and Viking Spritz?

Er...uh...dont give me any ideas. That PA stuff is pretty pricey and at some point a bit of fiscal common sense has to overrule my curiosity. Not saying I`m there yet but still have Gyeon Pure and Nanolex Si3D on the shelf to use. Do still have some unused holiday gift certificates to use...hmmm.
See, this is how it all starts...

That`s correct...you are to blame!
Overcoat begat Miyabi
Miyabi begat ISM
ISM begat Infinity Wax
Kamikaze as a whole begat a search for something better which begat the whole coating madness to find something better which begat me right back where I started...Kamikaze.
It`s all come full circle. Fortunately, your extensive use of Polish Angel would make me venturing down that path redundant!
Dodged that bullet.
Was that originally on the Corvette Forum where you suggested Overcoat?
