Mary B- Well, live and learn. Heh heh...guess that`s easy for *me* to say when *you`re* the one hassling around with returning it, but you gave it a fair shot and presented your findings to us for consideration so it wasn`t a *complete* waste.

Hmmm...wonder what you *will* end up with!

    Great work on this, Maria

The first time and last time I had a new Shurhold in my hand, I did not like it at all either..
Compared to the big Makita I use, it was like a little toy machine, and back then, this "new design" Shurhold did vibrate a lot as well..

Not wanting to have to go through carpal tunnel and hand and finger surgery again after decades of using bigger, more powerful tools that vibrate a lot, I have made it my priority to stay away as much as possible from all vibrating tools in the shop..

You did good, you avoided something that would not fit your process, there are other options that will be and do better..

Shorter, and heavier then my boss 15.
The dial is difficult, have to almost scratch at it to turn the dial.
Turned it on to 4. I know it`s a 21mm but the vibrations were more then any of my machines, on their highest settings. .
It`s going back in the morning.
Just have to save up for quality, the real deal.
Thanks for the feedback! Sorry it didn`t work out.

Sorry it didn`t work the way you needed it to. That is what you often gets with cheaper tools it`s not as fine tuned than others more big company made. Then it`s reminded me to not swallow all that youtubers says. Looked for sure that it was a hidden gem. I have a cheap 21mm throw polisher that I`m satisfied with. Do not think it`s close to a rupes though but for the moment suits my needs. It was my first polisher ever so I was testing the waters with it to see if I would be doing some more cars than the familys. So in the spring I will see how it goes and if it`s going to be more cars I will invest in a rupes.

Hope you find your next 21mm to match your preference.

Thanks for the update, I was curious about that machine myself. Bummer it didn`t fit your needs.
