Very nice presentation box. Look forward to your review
Re: How bad can an $8 coating be?
This is gonna be quite, uh, `interesting` if it proves to be even the equivalent of a 6-month coating...certainly has some interesting features
Quote:
Features:
1. With the hardness of super hydrofobowa glass coating
2. The sacrifical coated on the surface can be used as a coat of the barrier
3. Protect your car from blaknięcie aging, weathering and erosion, sunshine, sour powder, etc.
4. Protect your car from scratching, make the car more shining like the new
I wonder how it would compete with TopCoat F11????

It`s probably the same stuff.
That box is impressive, $8 alone. Wondering if it that caught the attention of the NSA or some other security agency.
Re: How bad can an $8 coating be?
What you guys never had those rotten kids throw their sour powder on your car???? What else do you do with all the stuff at the bottom of a bag of Sour Patch Kids?
As to the NSA, I`m sure on on their list already, I love Banggood and a couple of other Chinese vendors.
TBH, my money is on the fact that someone is having their coating products made in China and these are making their way out the back door or it was just straight cloned. For the that region in the world lacks in inventiveness they excel at copycatting.

Given the number of coatings that have appeared in the last year or so alone, I`m guessing many are just re-labeled...
Re: How bad can an $8 coating be?
Well I went for it, one fender coated on the VW. Quick notes:
-Pretty grabby on application
-Fairly thick, same consistancy as Opticoat
-Pretty hard to see high spots, does not do the rainbow color like other coatings
-After drying for a little bit, it seems pretty grabby, we`ll see what happens as it cures.
-A little goes a long way! Fender was coated with 15-20 drops?
-Not much, if any, darkening effect
To be honest, I`m not sure I got it on right, this is not my first coating, but I didn`t get any real instructions, I applied it, let if flash for a few minutes just as it was starting to get tacky, I wiped off the excess.
And for those of you that have served (thank you!), there is a new "veteran" forumula:

Re: How bad can an $8 coating be?
Cool, thanks for updating. Many, including myself, will be watching !
Re: How bad can an $8 coating be?
Thanks for actually using the product. I’m still chicken to use mine. The blue bottle seems to be used by many coating “manufacturers”.
Re: How bad can an $8 coating be?
I`m tempted to try it. How wrong could it be for $8? Problem is, I`ve got 5 other coatings wasting away :(
Re: How bad can an $8 coating be?
I saw one for 15.00. I started thinking about it. Coming from China and being that cheap, let`s see. Order chemicals that are coming out of China in very small batches not being inspected...I`ll pass.
Re: How bad can an $8 coating be?
Is any coating independently tested for safety?

Good question. I would think the ones that are imported hundreds or thousands at a time are more likely to be tested. The ones made in the US, if they are using something that shouldn`t be in there they run the risk of being shut down.
Someone actually gave me one from China that was about 10.00. I used a little bit. Their probably fine. I just made a personal decision not to use them anymore. I hope they work out for you, the price is definitely right.
The guy that gave me the bottle said he can take a stick and scrape it on the coating and it won`t scratch. It will be interesting to see what kind of durability they have.

I don`t think you have much to worry about compared to anything else you would use for a detail, like aerosol tar remover.
I would wager these are essentially a bare bones product. There are plenty of additives and alternate bases and solvents out there that will bring the price up very quickly.
Cheap base and solvent: combo $60/liter, when purchasing a liter or each.
Very high end additive: $45/gram
I would be more worried about the expensive ones from china that could actually afford to add something really nasty, like an isocyanate.
Re: How bad can an $8 coating be?
I ordered this morning. I`ll coat the front end of my rolling coating test bed and see how she endures the winter season.
