Re: Think I`m done messing around with coatings, final thoughts...

Zipang has my interest. I`ll be looking to coat my 300SRT once its ready this summer. I was thinking going PA primer/ Master sealant, or try Essence/Cancoat or Reload. Now this has my thinking. Car doesn`t sit outside, will see 3 seasons, track days and car shows. Challenger has ISM and cancoat and I`ve been more then pleased. This Zipang has me rethinking what I already have on hand...

After watching the Esoteric Kamikaze Open House video, I sure hope one doesn’t need certification to be able to buy and use Zipang. If you do need certification, that will eliminate a lot of people.

Application: Nanolex is the easiest to spread and buff off, closely followed by Gyeon and Mr. FIX. CQUK was the hardest to spread and buff off, rather sticky, but by no means an issue.
Performance: Mr. FIX and CQUK are the best beading, followed by Gyeon and Nanolex.
Here`s a video of the first rinse.

Noticed that as well; avaliable for purchase now on the website for all, though...hopefully that continues.

Edit: Appears to be out of stock already.

Yep seems like they ran out yesterday. Not that I`ve been staring at it obsessively lol. I assume it wouldn`t be much of an issue to use Zipang with Overcoat, then use Overcoat v2 once it comes out.

    Shiat!
I sent back my CSL/EXO V3 a week ago b/c I heard V4 was coming out. I even asked when they thought it would be available and they had no idea. NOW to hear they had a sale on Fathers Day really pisses me off!! I would have loved to applied it this last week before the car show this weekend..aarrgg

It appears the choice has been made for me regarding Zipang. Gotta love a woman who knows how to shop...

Wonder if anyone has received their zipang. Maybe they pulled it to test it out on their own.

Looks like ISM is on sale for 10% off. Seems pretty rare for anything to be on sale from them. Maybe they`re making room for the new versions/products.

One Autopian purchased in the initial release; he`s planning on using it on a new car in the next month or so if I recall correctly. Other than that, have not seen any reviews or experiences.

I believe the initial offering was a very limited batch brought to the Esoteric Open house by Kai Morita (guy behind Kamikaze) who flys in for the event.

I`ve looked at a UK supplier who stocks Kamikaze and while they have it listed on site, it has yet to be in stock.

Kamikaze is great stuff but being hand made, availability is sometimes an issue.

I thought the same thing as they rarely put anything on sale.
