    Re: Professional Water Hoses

If you are hooked up to a municipal water supply, make sure you get a 3/4" diameter hose instead of the "standard" 5/8 diameter. You`ll be able to take advantage of the water pressure from municipal supplies and get a higher water flow rate.

This higher flow rate may be an advantage (and needed) if you use a larger high-pressure small engine-driven power washer. If you have an electric power washer, a 5/8 diameter will supply a sufficient amount of water flow.

I prefer the larger ones by a country mile, always have but then I`ve always had OK water delivery.

And I like full-flow couplers/disconnects for some stuff too (e.g., foamguns).

Heh heh, maybe I`m just DEATH on hoses! Could be my boosted pressure factors in a bit these days but gee, it`s not all that much (just enough to make things act normal in a big house/shop). I thought that it was understandable when they were used at the dealership, but figured they`d be better once that was over and I was just using them here at home. But noooo I don`t coil them up (reel or otherwise) but rather lay them out lengthwise which if anything oughta be more gentle. No freezing weather. No abuse I can think of at all. Eh, another of those "it`s just me..." things I guess. But if somebody else has that "if it`s gonna happen to anybody.." thing going, well...
