    Re: TAC Systems Moonlight

Moonlight seems to bead like crazy. Aesthetically, it`s very cool how much it beads -- I keep noticing this. Maybe this is why it caused the spotting in BudgetPlan`s car.

Water spots. Quick wipe with ECH2O. Minimal buffing. Lint from towels...

I`ve been wanting to apply Moonlight for days now, but rain is forecasted every day and it has been raining about 5 o`clock every day.

It won`t stop raining long enough to apply it. We are in a tornado watch now. Just my luck.

    Re: TAC Systems Moonlight

Finally got a non rainy day (so far)

    Before

I applied Moonlight similar to how I would apply a coating. I used a blue microfiber applicator and applied drops along the long end of the applicator. I went on nicely, you could see the oil carrier evaporate (I did it outside on a hot day). It wiped off easily with a little grab.

    After

The Moonlight added shine and pop to the flake. Now let`s see what happens after the next rain.

Hoping it works nicely for you; it`s a breeze to apply, shines like crazy. Definitely a looker is Moonlight.

I`d guess there was just something in the application over year-old WG Uber Ceramic on our black Vette...that thing is just a nightmare now with persistent water spots Gonna polish everything off that car soon and go with the Feynlab Ceramic.

Eh, nothing ventured, nothing gained! I`ll have to check the hood of truck at work Monday (Moonlight applied to freshly polished/prepped paint) and see how that`s doing.

Yep, super easy to apply and it really looks good. The oil base give you more time to work it. I did my normal crosshatch application and the hood took about 2 minutes. I used very little product and probably could have used less. I should have used the CarPro micro suede applicators. That bottle will do many, many cars similar to a bottle of coating SIO2. I don`t know if I can leave it on for 9 months, but I will test it out for a few months.

Just tried Quartz Max for the first time. I was worried it would be like Reload, and I didn`t like that. Quartz Max went on very easily. I applied a few spritzes per panel, and it easily spread over the panel. A couple buffing wipes with little pressure removed the excess. This was not at all like my experience with Reload. The flake in my wife`s paint was pretty evident.

Kevin, have you used Gyeon Cure? If so how do they compare. I really like Cure on my coated car. Also very easy to apply.
    Thanks

    Re: TAC Systems Moonlight

It seems more similar to Cure than Reload (some guy who knows Reload=Cure=Quartz Max is laughing right now). But, I thought Cure needed a bit more buffing. Maybe it`s the type of towel. I was using Eagle Edgeless towels with Cure. I used the short nap generic blues I got from Gtechniq some time ago with the QM today.

Thank you. That guy laughing is the same guy who suggested Cure to me.
