    Just occurred to me.....

Since the carrier is oil, maybe it will spot bad till after the first wash. ?

    Re: TAC Systems Moonlight

I as the one with the leaking and dented Moonlight bottle. Of note, the sprayer is now broken. But, I`ve transferred it all to a new bottle.

In terms of function, the gloss on my car looks excellent. I haven`t noticed any significant water spotting. However, it hasn`t rained too much since I applied it. Could it be that there was a small window between application and getting wet?

    Re: TAC Systems Moonlight

First application was on hood of previously uncoated vehicle:
    Wash
    Dry
    FerreX
    Wash
    Clay/Nanoskin
    M101
    WG Perfect Finish Paint Prep
    Moonlight with blue microfiber applicator
    Sit inside for 20hrs

Coated vehicle (WG Uber Ceramic, applied 04/2016, fair weather vehicle for the most part, stored winter 2016-2017)
    Wash
    Dry
    FerreX
    Wash
WG Perfect Finish Paint Prep (x 2)
Moonlight with blue microfiber applicator pad
    Sit inside for 12-14hrs

Has been dusty/pollen heavy but other coated cars in household (Kamikaze Miyabi/ISM/Infinity/Overcoat) had no such spotting.

Eh, we`ll see how others fare...maybe the air in Cleveland, OH is extremely foul although it`s not like our river ever caught fire or anything.. oh yeah, our river did catch fire once.

Don`t think I used much product at all because it spreads forever. Operator error definite possibility, spotting seemed more persistent on coated car topped with Moonlight.

David says the applicator for Moonlight hardens. Did you notice the towels you wiped down afterwards with hardening? Maybe I`ll use my orange CarPro wipedown towels. I toss them anyway.

In my case, I used Eagle Edgeless towels to distribute. I washed them within a day or two, and none of them feel hardened. But, after reading more and more about this product, and learning that it is basically a true coating, I might give the next go with a CarPro block and suede mf to spread. I used about as much as BudgetPlan1 on the whole of my Tesla -- and my roof, which doesn`t have the panoramic sunroof.

Applicator did not harden completely but got a bit `rough` and slightly stiff after use...maybe 12hrs later I noticed it was at the point where I wouldn`t use it again for anything.

Moonlight is more like a hybrid sealant. It does contain coating properties ,it has a coating types smell/scent. As far as applicator and leveling towels - after using moonlight , 2-4 hours you should notice the material getting stiff. Moonlight is not a true coating, applicator and leveling towels doesnt get as stiff as a true coating would do. However, as a "coating booster" or additional "film build" this a very unique product. Amazing hydrophobic and self cleaning properties. It can also be cured with an infra red light but not necessary. The product stretches long ways, so no need to use a lot. Moonlight also darkens and protect plastic body moldings. Its super easy to use, you would think it would be a pain to wipe off, due to the fact its oil based, right? Wrong, I am still surprised to the fact how tacsystem formulated this item. It wipes off with no hassle.

Ive tested it on a panel 120°F direct sunlight. Have you guys ever used a product that when you spray onto a hot surface, the liquid evaporates a little? I barely saw that with moonlight. So i know for a fact this product is mobile friendly. It comes in a 250ml bottle, being oil base ( the way it stretches, not much product being used) you can easily get 8-12 vehichles.
