Less than a coating but more than a booster when used as sole LSP? Kinda like Cancoat over Mohs?

I don`t think there is another product that this compares to. I haven`t used Can Coat, is it oil based?

    Re: TAC Systems Moonlight

People always ask Mike Phillips if they can put (fill in the blank) on top of a coating. His answer is always yes, but why would you want to? I kinda paraphrased it, but unless it is made to go over the coating you are losing the benefits of the coating. Moonlight, being oil based (oily?), may not adhere well to a coated surface. But half the fun of detailing is finding out what works best on what anyway.

I recall something similar, but with all due respect to Mike, he also extolled the virtues of applying PBL Coating Booster. I`ve not tried Moonlight, but perhaps the oily base is simply the distillates that solvate the silicon dioxide and allow it to spread evenly. Not sure - I`d love to try it as well.

When I called the guy in FL, he said either a topper or stand alone....
25% instead of 5% for Cure/reload etc. (that intrigues me)

He said the oil base make it have longer flash time to level etc.

I agree here Ron. I`ve been using Cure, (due to your endorsement) but this new Moonlight is appealing to me. I hope BudgetPlan1 posts a review soon!

Will put on polished, prepped hood and likely not touch the thing for months; work/fleet vehicle (s).

I have heard that 22ple will soon be releasing a product called `Finitura` which can be used as maint or stand-alone as well; guess we`ll soon have:

    1. Coating booster/topper - Gyeon Cure, Overcoat, 22ple Final Coat, etc
    * 2. Coating `lite` (stand alone or maint.) - Moonlight, Finitura, ?Can Coat?
    3. Coatings themselves

Maybe they have exhausted coatings and boosters/toppers and created a new slot in the structure?

22PLE Finitura is such a superlative and revolutionary product, on its own or on top your favourite 22PLE glass coat. Super easy to use and adds so much to your glass coat. We have just finished the final tweak now...look out for it in late May/early June. You`ll definitely want to have them in your detailing arsenal
